There needs to be an intervention on these selfish grooms who keep scheduling bachelor parties on the weekend of golf’s first major. Just selfish work by these guys who “don’t know” and “are not aware of the best club in the southwest”.
You could have a disgustingly fun but also literally filthy bachelor party combining Aguila and the Highlighter or Alaska Bush Company (been 10+ years so I’m assuming both are still around?).
All of us, but especially Trev, are way too good for the Great Alaskan Bush Company. It is the seediest strip club on the seediest road in town. Quick google search (man I’m going to regret that) says it is still open. It was gross in circa 2008-2009, I can’t imagine that it got better since the Bush Administration.
Booked three 4somes at Dobson at $100 starting at 1:42. Guy said the group before us is paying $133 and he gave us some slack because we have locals. I have no idea how true that might be.
AZ Wilderness - The Goat, massive patio, great food and beer selection. Can accommodate large parties very easily.
Fate - Their PHX location blows. Go the tempe one.
OHSO - Great Brunch up on the Central Path. Super good.
Wandering Tortoise - Technically not a Brewery, but great bottle shop with a foodtruck out back that is 12/10

There is an AZ Wilderness like 5 miles from Dobson as well. It’s at Guadalupe and Arizona Ave. So if the plan is to go from Dobson to a place - that location might be easier for the 12 golfers and anyone who also shows up at golf, but louder. Bikini coffee place for @ngwellington and his bachelor party across the street (have not gone because I respect women so much #ally and I heard the coffee isn’t good).
To the locals, where do y’all think is the best place to stay? The last few years we have stayed in downtown Phoenix and it’s been fine, but the hotel we’ve used isn’t available this year. The wife is meeting me Friday and she’ll be doing her thing while we are golfing. Is there an area better than downtown for everything?
I think downtown chandler could be cool? Don’t know what the stay options are.
Arizona Ave is the main drag. Looks like the Crowne Plaza down there (mabye a little upscale) is $190-225/night.
Walkable to fun restaurants and coffee shops. Chill main drag. A few mins from one of the bigger malls in the Valley. I think there’s a farmers market on the weekends?
Seems like the type of place my wife would want to hang around while I’m golfing.
Plus this puts you 15-20 mins closer to both Dobson and Aguila.
Chandler farmers market is pretty weak (at least it was before the Gilbert one moved)
My wife and I got to the Gilbert farmers market almost every weekend (Saturday mornings) - Gilbert farmers market would definitely be the play of his wife is into that sort of thing.
