I’ll take care of booking Saturday golf at GCU in one week’s time (Friday 1/17). Is the cancellation policy truly no fee as long as you cancel 48+ hours in advance? I’ll give them a call today but in the meantime, add yourself. I’ll most likely be driving down from Flagstaff Saturday morning so pretty flexible with times. 1pm-ish sound good?

I’m a maybe for Saturday golf, but is there also any interest in a non-formal welcome event? 8 miles west of GCU is the Valley Golf Center which has Trackman bays and a mini golf course for some friendly competitions. Also can look into renting some bays at indoor places in a more central location, or just have a non-golf related restaurant/bar hangout.

If GCU is in the afternoon pretty sure I can play. Travel plans aren’t set in stone yet so will finalize those.

I’ll be driving in saturday morning, in for golf that day if we can tee off after 1230. Would love to play GCU!

One of the WM Phoenix Open pre qualifiers was at Aguila yesterday. Listed yardage for 8 was 380 yards. It is listed at 270-280 from silvers & just over 300 from the black tees. Obviously the carry distance is a bit less on the directly line, but that new tee box has to be wayyy back there between the range and right of 1. The hole played .21 shots over par in the pre qualifier this year vs when they played it at 309 last year it played 0.50 shots under par.
They play 10 as a par 4 so par 71 for the course. Took -5 66 to get through.

I unfortunately need to back out, I’m awful at calendar management and am headed to Lawrence for the Arizona game that weekend.
