TrapDraw: Houston

Also, only one of them was (co) valedictorian. I’ll let you guess which.

Anyone on here going to the tournament?

This had me rolling.

Two ppl who have never been and a guy who grew up in the outer burbs over twenty years ago. Tough scene.

Love Bomani but that’s a stretch for a nuanced conversation.

This was an abomination. If they just wanted to interview Bo cool, but why did it have to stomp all over the H-town pod. Lance Zierlein should have been the guest. End of story.

That’s a strong recommendation.

After finishing the pod I can unequivocally say, no, this is not a podcast about Houston.

Honestly, would be great if they’d do a redo for the Women’s Open. Houston has way too much content and discussion.

I debated shutting it down after I found out they weren’t having The Beard on.

@Tron and @Randy if you do come to town for the US Women’s Open, let me know. My parents live right across the street from the course and there’s some good food around.

Echoing the disappointment in the sparse talk on the rap, food, and museum scenes.

Though Pappadeaux was THE place to feel fancy in NW Houston in 1997.

Champions GC in December will be a very fun watch.

Native Texan here, not HOU but tons of friends and family and went to school at TAMU, and I feel like a huge bit that would have gotten the infrastructure vibes going would have been the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Legitimately wild. NRG stadium was built, “as much for the rodeo as it is for the National Football League.” https://www.bizjournals.com/houston/stories/2003/01/27/focus13.html
It hosts a livestock show, rodeo, cooking contests, carnival, and concerts. Some concerts have been frequented by a past TrapDraw star Garth, The Road I’m On, Brooks.
Yes I did wear a blue and golf FFA jacket, but hey take a dive into this thing. Truly is worth noting. https://www.rodeohouston.com/ @Randy

Just listened to the pod.

Great and interesting podcast, but it wasn’t a Houston podcast.

+1 to please doing another one before the US Open.

100%. I had to listen to it in 2 parts today. I loved the run down of who was efforted as always.

Would also love to hear a podcast with Randy and Bomani just talking about economics.

When you find out that @Tron has also been blocked by Bo on Twitter…

lol, come on… we all know Tex Mex isn’t Mexican food.

Absolutely fantastic pod - I feel that Bomani really understands Houston and conveyed some great insights into the city.

However, not getting Adam Dunn was a big miss… Hopefully they can try him for a future episode.

Bomani was a fantastic guest. Would have been a great particularly if he wasn’t tied to a ‘city preview.’

We got a MAC football mention (in a sense) and some big banks talk from Randy.
Good episode.
