Would like to see an “Over-reacting Weather Gui” power ranking from Lew, and when you got deep into the weather news discussion, was sort of hoping for some Chad Myers hot takes.
As far as Weather Chiefs go, Tom Skilling FTW.
Great episode!

If I can’t be uber passive aggressive when talking about anything Minnesota, what are we even doing here?
I thought of you last night as we sat down to dinner at one of our little neighborhood restaurants and saw a “Gary England” cocktail on the menu. Rye Whiskey and Blackberry Thyme Shrub…yum! Highly doubt it’s the only one in town.
Big guy, I think RDU is the place for you. I am unsure if you know much about hockey. I think the Carolina Hurricanes would be the team for you. Young, fast, and on the come up after many years of poor play. It’s also the only major pro sports team in the area, because of the role of College sports. Their owner is Tom Dundon of AAF fame, we love him! I also think you would really love the golf where courses are known to put the “country” in Country Club! Plus, the BBQ and food is out of this world!
Also, I am always disappointed when the guys talk about Jax, there is no mention of AEW. Thoughts on wrestling guys? Considering Daily’s Place has exclusively hosted pro wrestling for much of the Calendar year!
Georgia nepotism knows no bounds
As for Golf, the season can be short.
That’s what the mental reps are for!
@Randy We’d be lucky to have ya up in Minneapolis.
Randy seems like an ideal candidate for dual residence. There is truly no better place on earth than Traverse City, MI for 10-12 weeks a year. The other 80%, yikes.
And devastated but not surprised to hear The Franchise likes Chris Wallace. Gutted.
Hearing Tron pronounce Hahira was painful. I wonder how he’d pronounce Taliaferro
Listening to the episode currently and have to say, love the fact there’s a local news guy on! As a digital executive producer at a local news station in Detroit, I love hearing from other people in the business. @Tron & @Randy, if you guys have any local news questions let me know, I’d love to answer them.
As for Action Jax News owned by Graham Media Group, they own a few stations around the country, including one here in Detroit. It used to be Post-Newsweek until the Washington Post & Newsweek were sold to Jeff Bezos and someone else, then the Graham family kept them, the family that used to own WaPo.
So glad I listened to the end to hear about Randy’s prospects as a potential step-dad in the suburbs of Jax. Good for a chuckle.
I’ve always heard it pronounced “Hay-High-Ra”. Not far from Cairo (pronounced “Cay-Ro”), and Monticello (pronounced “mont-uh-sell-uh”)
Born and raised in Oconee County and those are the (regionally) correct pronunciations. If I hadn’t thought about Hahira being in the area and connecting the dots I never would’ve known what he was talking about. Atlanta really is removed from the rest of the state isn’t it? I guess the Marist School doesn’t spend much time on regional pronunciation
