What started as a bit between TC and D.J. now gets the full TrapDraw episode treatment as Randy, Neil and Cody join to help work through our definitive list of Things That Are Sick.
Shoutout @djpie for adding bird watching. It is sick. While in Sweden, Kelly snagged a swedish birds book (in swedish of course) and the whole trip we kept a log of every bird we saw. It was super fun. For those counting it was 22 different types of birds (few more but those were unconfirmed)
I want to propose a special addendum to lighthouses being sick to stipulate that Fresnel lenses are also sick. Climbing up an old lighthouse to see both the view and the lens is sick.
I will donate $100 to charity if either Neil or Randy can pronounce it correctly without aid.
Top 10 Trap Draw, boys. @MerchCzar the feeling in your stomach going over a bump is HOF sick.
I was thinking this too!
Anesthesia being sick was 10000% If there was a betting market I’d put some nuggies on that going deep in the sick-off bracket they were proposing.
@Tron @MerchCzar @Randy @Cody @djpie on the chance you’re accepting nominations for things you’re out on, I humbly present two—charging credit processing fees (you run a business, accept the costs of doing so. Don’t like the fees, go cash only.) and using your phone on speaker in public.
SR-71 Blackbird.
The best plane? No. The fastest plane? No. The most important plane? No. The sickest plane? Yes.
Shoutout Cody for mentioning welding. The materials science behind it is so sick.
It’s also very new and still being studied a lot. MIG/TIG welding which are the most common types were invented in the 1940s. Lots of very common metal structures were straight up impossible to create before modern welding was invented.
Shoes.
Looks like to me they’re both afraid of the Swedes
Also things I’m out on: places being cash only.
I’m the opposite, I’m out on places refusing to accept cash. It’s legal US tender - should be acceptable for all transactions!
Agreed, thats just as bad.
Generally I agree, but it creates kind of a sick vibe if it’s a dive bar, barber, etc.
Help a man commit a little tax evasion.
If they have an ATM then I’m fine with it. And as mentioned, if it’s a dive bar or a local greasy food joint, I think cash-only adds to the allure.
I’ll take cash only over bullshit credit card fees 100 times out of 100. Especially since nowadays you can use any ATM and not pay those fees if you’re using the right bank.
