TrapDraw Ep 402: United STATES Draft

Lol. Just be lucky you went before Guam.

Surprised TC didn’t try and bend the rules to secure a United Hub

Soly’s list was surprising, given the glandular issues…

“I can’t take Oregon so I’ll take the next best thing and take Washington”

Having lived in both states, I shouted “What??” In my car alone when I heard that. Only something that can be spoken by someone who has gone to bandon and never been to Washington.

Having lived here every second of my life, we should definitely be in the 40s, but there’s no way anyone could say with a straight face that Indiana is worse than ND, Kansas, or Oklahoma. And I’m scratching my head how we’re worse than Iowa (drafted somewhere in the 30s?) when we’re basically the same state except we have professional sports, much better higher education, and the month of May.

Arkansas beat us?!?!? C’mon man!

You have Notre Dame I guess but the public universities aren’t that far apart imo.

Sure, if you think #49 (Iowa) and #57 (ISU) are not that far off #11 (Purdue) and #34 (Indiana). We also have Butler.

This is a huge disrespect to Pete Dye as well. Even after they just did that deep dive on my guy.

Feel like everyone is missing the biggest factor here.
Neil is dominating with SEC championships.
Also the fist fight metrics. Team Randy will throw hands at the drop of hat.

Imagine arguing what placement in the 40s you should be.

Loser ass mentality is why you’re 47th.

FYI, GUM is barely a hub. More than half of flights flown by GUM based aircraft are on routes that don’t involve GUM airport.

No mention of Jersey Mike’s when @MerchCzar drafted NJ? SAD!

And Rose Hulman. Gotta toss that out there for my fellow nerds. I expected us to be bottom half, but only missing DFL because we “aren’t Mississippi”

RI is high on my list because I had one of the best bar experiences of my life at the bar connected to the United Theater in Westerly, while waiting for a screening of Seven Samurai a couple of years ago.

Arizona went about where I expected it to be taken. Depending on the drafters, I could see AZ being in the top 15 or in the bottom 15. One of the more polarizing states out there.

Whoever took Georgia, I heard no mention of Savannah and/or its position as the westernmost big container port on the eastern seaboard.

Get those goods hundreds of miles further west before they see a train or truck. Can’t do that in New York, Boston, Baltimore, Norfolk.

That’s value right there.

I was shocked Randy took TN when he did. It went way too early in this draft. Proof of that is nothing good could be said about the selection. There were much better options on the board!

Regardless of how the dads drafted or their motivations for doing so, which state would YOU have drafted #1?

  • California
  • New York
  • Texas
  • Florida
  • Hawaii
  • Wisconsin
  • Other - and you must state your case
