Great pod and I think Toledo sounds cool. One problem. Eric is in Jackson Hole because his cousins are getting married… hoping for a mea culpa on that or at least some clarity.
Also need clarification on whether everyone in OH thinks Jackson Hole is on the west coast
As an East Coaster I can confirm that everything from the Rocky Mountains to the actual Pacific Coastline is “Out West” and then “The West Coast” is basically a 10 mile wide strip from San Diego to Seattle. Can’t speak for Ohioans’ take on this issue
Thank you. Came here for this gripe. Wyoming is certainly not the West coast. I think Ohio is closer to the east coast than Wyoming is to the west coast. Hopefully a remorseful apology coming from @Randy on the next episode.
I’ll horse trade. Wyoming is not West Coast if we unanimously agree that Pittsburgh is in the Midwest.
Gosh I hope anyone with an attachment to Toledo stays out of the Patrick Reed thread…
@Randy, Pittsburgh is not in the Midwest.
You can say that, but you’re wrong
But is Wikipedia wrong?
Lines on a map are arbitrary
As someone who lives on the “West Coast” (Idaho) I will say that in @Randy defense special care must be taken with labeling cities geographic regions within large states. For instance Pocatello Idaho is solidly not in the Pacific Northwest while Sandpoint Idaho is. Same state. This may be the case with a Pittsburgh/Pennsylvania mixup.
Pennsylvania isn’t in the Midwest at all, which solves all the problems.
Absolutely, it’s not on the eastern seaboard, it’s not south of the Mason/Dixon. What else would it be?
It’s part of the northeast. It’s not part of the Midwest. It never has been and it never will be.
I’ve never considered Pittsburgh a northeast it’s. Philadelphia, yes but not Pittsburgh. But I don’t really know what geographic area I consider Pittsburgh to be.
So sorry I’ve cause another geography debate. I just wanted to make a thread about cousins getting married
I mean we are talking about Ohio right? Cousins marrying checks out.
“College golf is a 4 year golf buddies trip”
Maybe the best recruiting pitch ever.
These are both factually accurate statements.
