They were delicious martinis.

Ditto, pal.
Man that response wasn’t even to you. I know you’re trying to be the new duffer but you never will be. Find a new slant buddy
Yeah, no.
And seriously, “trying to be the new duffer”? Ha. Laughably off base, but whatever helps you sleep at night.
It seems like a large portion of the audience had pretty much this entire season go over their heads, honestly. They just want plot plot plot, and don’t seem to have any awareness of character development, exploring bigger themes, or doing anything remotely high concept.
Stupid morons.
I’m with you. If I’m paying more than $50 per person for a meal, I’m making sure I remember it.
I’m thinking about going to Ever for my 30th birthday and I’m not sure if I’d even do the wine pairing because I want to remember every moment of that experience
Weird how it says “large portion” and not “everyone who didn’t like it as much as me”
But again, we all know you’re the main character here
Maybe you’re the moron, because I’ve never been talking about it from my perspective. I liked the season just fine, it’s still a great show IMO. I just think it’s BS that you are saying anyone who didn’t like the season is basically a moron who wants “plot plot plot” and “low concept” and no character development.
Look, we all let one get away from us now and then. On our honeymoon, we went to central provisions in Portland, Maine. One of the two best meals of my life, but there’s some hazy moments in there because they were giving us Champagne and bourbon, then we were ordering neat pours of a lot of their very reasonably priced house pick bourbons. All while eating small plate food that didn’t have a lot of starches, Chatting up the staff, and just generally having a great time. There are a couple dishes I barely remember, but the wagyu and the ceviche I’ll never forget for as long as I live
Nope

I know we’ve touched on this but CP rules. God damn I love Portland. I need to go more. It’s only an hour away.
Low key winters up there are really fun. We’ve done nice hotels near the downtown in Jan for $125 a night. So fun to just stumble into where’s open. Can always get a great bar seat on a chilly night in Jan at the brave souls spots that stay open all winter.
100% agree. Definitely the best executed episode that far off the traditional that I can remember in TV history.
People are treating it like The Fly ep of BB when it’s absurdly good.
We had such a great time there. Staff was so cool, and the entire experience was incredibly fun. Topping it off with drinks at the speakeasy under the church was the kind of night that makes you consider relocating
It really sucks in feb - march up there, but it’s on the water so it’s still way better than even 20 min inland in Maine. But it’s a great food city. I wish it wasn’t so hipster forward, and they do have a homeless problem growing as well. But just overall an awesome small ish city.
FWIW I’ve always liked the fly episode and don’t give a shit about all the people who tell me not to like it
It’s one of my favorite episodes of my all time favorite show
We’ll have to agree to disagree but that’s what makes TV viewing fun. I liked the swing, just think it was a miss.
