Baseball is back! As the 2026 MLB season begins this week, the Seamsters have also returned to draft an over/under pick for each club - challenges allowed in the spirit of ABS - and close with division and World Series winner picks.
I think I’m gonna put a dollar on every o/u pick they make and just see where it ends up.

Could not be jumping harder at the Braves under. I never watch baseball but I’m making this bet so I can keep up with it and root against the team that was force fed to me as a kid on TBS.

The Seamsters episodes are my favorite and I’ve listened to this one a couple of times so far. Thanks fellas.
First of all I’m tapping my hat to challenge @Randy on his Cubs take. Long time Cubs fan here. Not the start we were looking for, but we have a long way to go.
I have an 11 year old playing Little League for the first time this season and we’re lock in, looking forward to to the 162+ rollercoaster ride. He has played soccer most of his young life and we are die hard global soccer fans. Arsenal in the EPL. He pays attention and knows the player better than I do. FUN!!.
We’ve attended a couple of Red Sox Spring Training games this season and I’m really looking forward to sharing the upcoming MLB season with him. Also FUN!!

I’ve bought into this for 2026.
Haven’t a clue what the standings look like for my Jays. I think we lead the league in injuries and Vladdy needs to hit the ball out a bit more but we could be first in the AL East, we could be dead last. I’m genuinely clueless!

Cubs have two 10 game winning streaks so far this season. I’ve been a Cubs fan long enough to know all about NOT counting the chickens prematurely…
My 11 year old son just finished his first season playing Little League, first baseman. He played soccer all of his life to date and had not taken to baseball. This year I made an effort to introduce the great game. We went to several Spring Training games here in Fort Myers and we’ve been to several Mighty Mussels games, Twins single A team. We bought an official game worn jersey he wears everywhere. He’s officially hooked. We follow the standings/stats pretty closely. It’s really fun watching him fall in love with the game!!!

Just listened to the latest episode of Seamsters Union. @djpie’s comment about Met’s management “stepping on rakes” made me belly laugh. As a Cubs fan, I know we have opposing views about the NL Central. Regardless, we share a mutual disdain for the lowly Mets!!! May they continue to step on rakes and thing of that nature. Carry on…
