Trap Draw: Chop Sessions

I went down a crazy rabbit hole on marathon dancing articles. Basically it was kind of like pro wrestling. Dancers were paid extra for “dramatics” in terms of fainting and slouching over to play up how tired they were.

During the Great Depression dance marathons were basically hunger games because it was all people out of work just trying to outlast other dancers for the grand prize. Truly wild times.

The best episode of Gilmore Girls centers around a dance marathon. Yes, I’ve watched Gilmore Girls several times with my fiancé.

A-a-ron Sorkin for women. I’ve watched every episode with my wife as well.

Were dance marathons slow dancing? That feels like a cop out. I was picturing salsa dancing. Something that actually burned calories.

When my wife and I first started dating, we started watching Gilmore Girls at her house and I said at one point that nobody talked like this. She stared at me and said, “You’ve told me how much you love The West Wing and Sports Night so … is it because it’s women?”

That was one of the first signs I had found the right woman - someone smart who challenges me on my bullshit.

Your wife owned you pretty good but man, I can’t stand the way they talk on this show. My sister would watch it all the time growing up, it would result in so many sibling arguments over who gets the remote.

Sure, and that’s fair but … do you like The West Wing? Cause it’s fairly similar.

No, but I never really watched it. I do agree though, from what I recall everything is fast talking and walking on that show.

I read this and thought “Alright I’ll have to hear what Harding’s administration was like.”

Neil: Harding was incredibly good looking and loved to bone.

Late to the party, but the 1923 ep was fantastic. More, please.

I’ll assume @MerchCzar might have been trying to call out UDF (United Dairy Farmers) as the business in Ohio… maybe?

Do car wash managers get called on their days off? I may need to change professions.

Hope someone can help. I am interested in DJ’s and Tron’s use of the word “chode “which seems like an excellent insult but does have it a direct meaning or can it be attributed to general arseholes.

Actual (urban dictionary) definition, but usually equivalent to douchebag as an insult.

I thought it was a euphemism for the perineum. Both are fun tbh.

My guess is it’s fairly interchangeable with “wanker”
