Trap Draw: Chop Sessions

Barry Bonds also never tested positive for steroids, a fact most forget. I think he clearly DID use them, as did 90% of guys you’d suspect including Piazza, Bagwell and probably Scott Rolen. The fact that sportswriters can just decide Rolen never did PEDs without any real proof and ban the guys they’ve decided did (some who failed tests, some who didn’t) and also how that aligns with guys who were nice/sucked up to sportswriters and guys who didn’t is why the Hall of Fame is a preposterous joke.

I just read through this Twitter thread and it appears that the kid was making a statement after the other kid made some sketchy calls.

I don’t even think we can count it as true cheating if there’s no referee/rules official. I would have thought college tennis would have an umpire

Same goes for Jim Thome a couple years ago. I’m a Cleveland fan, but to say he never did steroids is probably an inaccurate statement considering the weight gain he had in the middle of the steroid era. He nailed the aww shucks country boy routine to the media though.

Cool… we all agree Derek Jeter did steroids too since he played in this “era”.

Glad we figured this out.

Given what we know about how the ball itself impacts distance, I’d imagine that was a much bigger culprit than steroids. Think about it, are guys really so much weaker now that the league struggles to have a single 50 HR guy many years. Steroids are helpful, but they don’t turn you into Superman. The “magic pills” theory of the steroid era was always a fallacy.

This seems extremely on brand for NASCAR. His team says the case is closed so maybe no need to monitor the situation but thought I would share @Tron

I think this statement means he sucessfully flew to mexico with a gun and security missed it in the states. Or he bought the gun in mexico and tried to return with it.

Either way, tough stretch for M&M’s. First they kill off their mascots and now their racecar poster boy does this!

Let’s see if all the Britney Griner “should have known better” Stans come out in full force.

He flew on his PJ to mexico and it got caught in customs

Agreed. This is a private aviation mishap, not Kyle Busch getting a weapon past the TSA security checkpoint.

If I’m reading that correctly he didn’t get caught with the gun until the end of the vacation by Mexican airport security? How do you go an entire vacation with a gun in your suitcase and not realize?

Ah, that makes a lot more sense. Not gonna let “I didn’t know it was in there” slide though. You never opened your bag on vacation? C’mon Kyle!

I simply wouldn’t go to a place where I would potentially be in danger. I’m worth enough and have enough money, I can go somewhere safe.

And miss out on playing El Camaleon, home of the WWT Championship?!?!?!

My brother-in-law played college tennis and one of his teammates had this exact situation.

Opponent made a few questionable calls so after like his 2nd or 3rd call, ball landed in the middle of the court and BILs teammate calls out. Opponent looks confused and he goes “you keep fucking me with those calls, we’re even now.” and they had a clean match the rest of the way.

I was told that this is because pitchers have gotten too good.

I like the ball theory though. That’s been a recent revelation.

M&M’s ended their sponsorship after last season and races on a different team now anyway.

I feel like he still crumbles under any sort of pressure and can’t take that leap against top 10 nfl defenses when going up against them. But he definitely has become a mid-tier guy maybe 10-15 range.

Yup. That is so blatant it has to be to counter getting hooked by his opponent multiple times. Fuck the other guy. He hooks his opponent then when his opponent stands up for himself using the only recourse he can, the original offender goes to the fucking media with an out of context clip. What a piece of shit.

Obvious mea culpa if there was no justifiable reason for that call, but I find that extremely unlikely.
