Trap Draw: Chop Sessions

I think we can simplify the HOF discussion. “LOL baseball.”

2022 Geno up near the top and rest of career Geno at the bottom?

You’re talking about two very different election processes here. Scott Rolen was elected by the BBWAA, Harold Baines was elected by a special committee (Today’s Game Era). If you’re going to complain about the guys elected through the special committees, I’m in full agreement. Look at the list of guys that have got through that way through the years and it is a complete joke. It has basically been former players/managers/executives rewarding their buddies with a spot in the HoF - which is how Baines got in

Geno had a wildly underrated year, but the rest of his career has been underwhelming. He had great success on attempts of 15 yards or more however

Same reason you have generic NYJ QB at the bottom and a mega kyler murray slight

Am I alone in my opinion that Geno should not be up for comeback player of the year? Most improved maybe, but do you come back from being stinky? When I won my HS golf team’s most improved in 1996 it was because I went being awful to pretty ok. I didn’t come back from anything.

Trevor should win it

While on the subject of baseball writers, do you/did you interact with Sam Miller at all? I really miss his writing and his co-hosting on Effectively Wild.

Seems like he went off the grid after ESPN let him go, except for the stray EW appearance.

Weaving the HUAC into this is gold, Jerry, gold!

If you consider this to be his actual rookie year, he’s doing great

Geno and Tua, stop it

Pretty sure we have to consider that it’s not Geno’s rookie year

I got a substantial laugh out of this, @Tron.

The top ten QB lists are great, but I want the top five worst starting QB’s

Russell and Leaf are undisputed 1 and 2 on that list.

(not sure if you meant all time or current)

I think we need to go beyond monitoring the state of tipping in this country. After reading this Grub Street tipping guide I think I’m even more confused. Why are we putting all of this mental energy into every arbitrary transaction throughout our daily lives?

Take it all away! This is madness!
