Give me a hundred guesses and I wouldnât have come close to what comes next in this sentence.
Nope. He didnât. (Agreeing)
We talked about this on the pod re: birdwatching and I finally had a chance to watch it today. I think itâs one of my favorite things Iâve seen this year.
@djpie and @Tron You were wondering what will happen when AI is exclusively talking/learning from AI. Itâs not a fun rabbit hole to go down but youâre looking for the dead internet theory.
Sounds more like this, where the AI just keeps feeding itself incorrect information until it eventually becomes totally useless
Im not into bird-watching myself but if you are, this should be a fun watch for youâŚ
I found it super interesting
Listening to the Chop Session from Thursday, and as someone obsessed with the Edmund Fitzgerald, I canât recommend the new book âThe Gales of Novemberâ from John U. Bacon enough. https://johnubacon.com/the-gales-of-november/ @djpie @Tron
I think heâd also make an incredible Trap Draw guest in the future. His books are amazing.
I was cutting the grass earlier and this massive red tailed hawk took off from one of my trees and moved to another tree down the street.
I stopped the mower and walked over to get a better look.
@Tron come for the Edmund Fitzgerald talk but stay for the preposterous stories from Rich Rodriguezâs tenure at Michigan.
Would you say you moved back and to the left?
I mean whoâs to say there was just one hawk? I saw the one, but there very well couldâve been another across the street, one on the overpass, and another in the Dal-Tex building.
And the Halifax explosion!
I canât get over this. This is incredible. They spent 12 months in a van birding mainly just for the bit? Yes, the one brother is legitimately obsessed, but the nonchalance they seem to bird with as opposed to the rest of the community is hilarious.
Tron not knowing that Gordon Lightfoot was Canadian was a tremendous weight off my shoulders. I find myself getting angry when he fires off his regular takes about Canada. Now I no longer need to worry about it because if you didnât know Gord, one of the worldâs great singer / songwriters was Canadian, then I donât need to take your thoughts on my country seriously.
Preach it Brother

Funny that two of Canadaâs most iconic singer/songwriters are both âGordâ
Sometimes, Corner Gas and Shoresy are documentaries.
Just getting caught up on the last Trap Draw. @Tron , yes, thatâs exactly what us bird watchers do: we look for new species.
Download the eBird app, and jump on in. Next thing you know, youâre buying a camera and lens which is potentially more expensive than golf.
Catching up on past pods and didnât have TC shouting out the new world screw worm on the show. Thatâs a bad bad fly. No good.
