Trap Draw: Chop Sessions

It’s a derivative however, unlike normal derivatives, it’s a lot less clear what the underlying entity is that drives its value. It’s an accessible way to bet on things that are hard to bet on like “vibes.”

I mean, it’s current “best” use is buying drugs, trafficked human beings, and illegal pornography

I stand with Randy on the Beaufort pronunciation. I don’t believe a mea culpa should have been issued.

Easily a top 3 regret in my life:

In college I came across a random article about Bitcoin. I joked with my roommate who is a finance guru that I was going to buy $100 worth when it was at less than $0.25 a coin. I personally don’t believe that cryptocurrency will ever be the primary currency in the world, but I said how enough people would believe in it that the value would soar.

As a college kid I was too lazy to figure out how to actually get bitcoin. Sure do wish I had tried these days. Doing the math hurts when it was at $10,000, $25,000, $50,000 and $100,000 hurts.

I poked around bogleheads forum, and enjoy how they immediately shut down any crypto thread with the same rule.

Discussions of investment strategies based on securities or physical assets that have no underlying value or negative expected long term returns are prohibited. Examples include: cryptocurrencies; lottery tickets; tulip bulbs; Ponzi, pyramid, and multi-level marketing schemes; affinity frauds; and market manipulation schemes.

$40,000,000. If it makes you feel better, MegaMillions was just at $1.2B. :stuck_out_tongue:

Same with the Pegula pronunciation. Watch a decent amount of tennis and have always heard announcers pronounce Jessica’s last name as peh-goo-la, so not sure why TC was catching heat for that.

Maybe it’s a regional thing but we pronounce it like puh-goo-la here

That may have been what I was trying to sound out, just didn’t do a good job phonetically lol… but think we can both agree it’s not peg-you-la

No thanks

Am I the only person that has seen Animal House numerous times but is unfamiliar with “the sh*thawk” Randy and Tron kept referencing?
