Intelsat Reports IS-33e Satellite Loss
October 21, 2024
IS-33e Update, October 21, 2024: Intelsat reported today that the anomaly previously disclosed on October 19 has resulted in the total loss of the Intelsat 33e satellite. We are coordinating with the satellite manufacturer, Boeing, and government agencies to analyze data and observations. A Failure Review Board has been convened to complete a comprehensive analysis of the cause of the anomaly. Since the anomaly, Intelsat has been in active dialogue with affected customers and partners. Migration and service restoration plans are well underway across the Intelsat fleet and third-party satellites.

Enjoyed KVV’s deep dive on the LA golf bots scandal. Need a similar investigation done for the restaurant scene as bots are taking over restaurant reservation apps and selling resos at premiums. It’s inflationary! Happening in NYC and am sure in many other cities

Interesting to have Stoller on. He’s become a bit of a gadfly in progressive circles (mostly from constant flirtations with the “populist” right on policy matters), and he annoys a lot of people with his one-size-fits-all view on antitrust as a solution to all political problems, but he’s done a lot of good work on re-popularizing and organizing around antitrust enforcement as a legitimate economic platform. It’d been dominated by the Chicago School for decades… to our great misfortune as a country.

Just looked it up. Duel was May 11th. @kmcswain had 48 hours to hang out after the duel if he wanted it and his profile shows he was last seen on May 13th which proves he’s stuck by his guns and not logged in which is proof of him following through.
