Topo Chico, especially the lime is the best carbonated water on the market.
This, is a new one.
This may be a little too local to warrant a full on monitoring, but we have a nuisance bear situation in Swannanoa, NC.
This poor lady is living right when it comes to bears. She doesnāt leave out any food sources, but thereās one bear that keeps coming to her house and wrecking stuff. Heās broken the door off of her storage trailer and even caused damage to the underside of her house and the foundation.
Black bears in this area are basically giant raccoons. Theyāll get in your garbage and make a mess, but theyāre mostly very chill. Donāt startle them, give them a wide berth, and theyāll just keep moving. Occasionally though, you get one that just wants to be an asshole.
She mentions that trapping may not work because she has many other bears that come by and cause no issues. Canāt have innocent bears getting caught up in the system.
Iāll keep an eye on this one.
Would the #ballknowers like to weigh in on the draft stock of this legislator? Thought I saw some Marshawn in him for those trucks at the line and then a pretty good plant N cut upfield a la LT to finish the run.
Imagine if this became a practice similar to the filibuster, if you get the bill to the front steps its automatically disqualified. CSPAN would become one of the most watched channels on tv
Bleak stuff from the front page of reddit yesterday. Reportedly taken at the Chicken Plus x Sulbing Cafe in Burnaby, BC, Canada.
Iāve been there once, and i think that place has a significant takeout business. Not having an option for no tip when I order takeout stinks.
But itās just as easy to enter $0 or 0%.
Need some context as to how this place operates, and specifically what that payment station is used for. Is it all takeout? Is it a fast casual place where you order and pay at a counter and then they bring the food to you?
I always tip a a few bucks on takeout because they are still bagging it up, checking to make sure everything is there and correct, making sure I have plastic wear if need be, napkins, filling drinks if we got them, etc. Plus that job is super hectic. Still, if this is more like a chipotle or ordering at McDonaldās counter, then trying to require a tip is shitty
Order and pay at counter, then the food is brought to your table.
Is tipping culture the same in Canada as it is here, or do workers there get paid a legit minimum wage regardless of whether or not they receive tips?
Usually a legit wage without much, comparatively to American standards, tipping-wise to supplement. Itās not that people donāt tip so much as they typically tip less as a result or yes they donāt tip at all.
Unsure if this varies from province-to-province as Iāve only spent time in Ontario and around primarily Ontarians on the US side of the border.
Tipping culture is similar, and the norm maybe a couple of percentage point less it is in America.
Server wage got phased out in BC, and has the same minimum wage as other workers.
Ok so Iād to, to me and only me, itās reasonable to expect a buck or two of a tip there, but hiding the no tip button is probably going a bit too far, since they arenāt making a separate wage than non-tipped workers. Maybe the employees did it and management doesnāt even know yet, but itās also not the kind of thing Iād find so ludicrous that Iād crucify the place, unless your only option beyond that is to tip way more than is reasonable
Thatās where I net out as well.
Hiding the āno tipsā option is triggering though, and there are numerous alternatives for Korean fried chicken and dessert, especially in an area filled with them.
Itās both for the most part
Not the most comforting post to see before crossing the Atlantic on Friday.
Anybody have a recommendation on a travel pillow? TRTL seems to be winning the SEO game but is it actually good?
I ordered the Cambeau evolution S3 but it was too small in that it didnāt wrap around comfortably and made my head feel like the Michelin man in a too-tight marshmallow .
