Progress!!!
As a kid every time this scene came on I would CRAVE a chocolate donut. I was so jealous of the one he’s eating. It looked delicious.
The same happened for me and waffles in that scene from All Dogs Go To Heaven.
I’m assuming they discuss some of the same points on the pod, but the Movies That Made Us episode on Home Alone was fantastic.
This might be the first Trap Draw pod that I’ll need to have my 5 yo twins listen to. They will certainly fact check the crew considering we watch this year round
The scene in Hook where Peter gets his imagination and the smorgasbord of food shows up……that’s it for me.
Based on the current nominations for the Bracket thread this guy deserves final 4
This actor along with the cop who “checks” the house after are perfect examples of modern police work.
Add Tim “Simmons” to the ever growing list of name mispronunciations.
I think about this scene every couple of years, so much nostalgia for me.
I’ll have to give the Home Alone pod a listen, but I’m being told there’s mention of my dear alma mater New Trier. Might have to call the line to explain the vast differences between Loyola and NT.
I went to college (in Santa Cruz, of all places) with a few New Trier grads. When they got drunk, perhaps in reference to San Dimas High School, they would yell NEW TRIER HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL RULES! I still reflexively hear it every time I hear New Trier mentioned.
Ha, that’s funny as that’s the one sport NT does not typically do well in.
This was in (sigh) the late 1980s so maybe it was decent back then
Bring on the pancakes @Randy @MerchCzar
Maybe the only good part of the IHSA football districts that have been proposed and seem like a favorite to pass will be the annual destruction of NT by Loyola. That’s a game that should happen every year but NT is so shitty that it’s not worth it for LA to bother.
Well yeah, when you can recruit the entire Chicagoland area competition is a little lopsided.
If they actually did that, they might never lose again.
