Wegman’s is the best, period.
The Aldrunk shout out was good, but no Dana Stubblefield?
Gym Jordan is an actual disgrace.
Very disappointed to not hear more on Mike “I WANT WINNERS” Singletary.
Looking forward to Neil’s takes.

Rowers really suck, amazing take. Almost all rich prep school kids, very arrogant, zero introspection, mega-entitled, apparently unaware they would suck at any sports played by more than 1% of the population; the absolute worst. The Winkelvii. See also: squash players.
Shout out to the condo building in SF that is falling over by 6 inches a year.

Shots fired at Ming Tsai.
How can anyone be a Draymond guy. Come on Neil, atrocious take. He literally kicks other men in the junk. Yikes.
this didn’t sound as gentrified as I though it would HOWEVER…
The Bridges (the course) is absolutely atrocious. Spot on take there.
Also shoutout San Quentin. Got some bad bad hombres in there…used to play basketball there a few times a month and was wild to even see death row.
bridges the one that has the separate driving range across the street with the lights? that’s my earliest memories of golf/hitting golf balls when we still lived in danville
Draymond is the BEST but in fairness, the epitome of a guy you love if he’s on your team and hate if he’s not.
He’s also a borderline Hall of Famer. Yep.
been worried about draymond lately he’s turning into one of lebron’s klutch cronies…hoping he doesn’t become kendrick perkins post playing career
The Bridges is the WORST course I’ve ever played. Certainly when you factor in the cost and the hike to get there. I don’t appreciate courses where if you land it on the right or left SIDE of the fairway, you’re just as likely to lose the ball entirely into a ravine. I lost 12 balls there the last time I played (and my putter cover, though that’s probably more on me than the course) and vowed to never play it again.
San Quentin is actually less of a max security place than it used to be, and is one of the leading prisons in terms of rehabilitation programs and ways to help prisoners do things to get them ready for re-entering society. This blew my mind having grown up nearby and thinking of it as basically our version of that prison in Face/Off for the worst of the worst.
I cannot stand for the Michael Crabtree pot shot by TC at the beginning of the pod. Put some respect on his name!!
Shocked to hear The Franchise isn’t down with Nancy Pelosi.
as much as I hate to say it richard sherman was right
When you try Richard Sherman with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that’s the result you’re gonna get
“God, what a moron.”
What, were you going to talk about golf or something?
Enjoyed the pod and love me some Neil but it’s often strange to hear how “Uncle Larry’s” kids experience the City and the Bay Area at large. When you embrace that whole “don’t like it? Just head up to the hills” perspective you miss out on a lot of places/people/experiences that make the Bay Area truly great and - frankly - would’ve made this a more interesting listen
Was he disappointing as a number one target in the NFL? Fur sure. But he is an all time college football receiver and had a decent career in the NFL.
I thought the same thing, when I saw the length of the episode I knew there would be at least 45 mins on Singletary. Can’t win with em, can’t coach em, can’t do it.
also the fact that there was not one single mention of jim tomsula & this part of his wikipedia page might be the worst omission from this episode
Tomsula employed new coaching practices, which included giving his players breaks to check social media during meetings, shorter, easier practices, and more days off. The result was one of the worst offenses in team history. Scoring only 238 points, the 49ers would struggle to a 5–11 season. Tomsula was fired just a few hours after the 49ers season finale against the St. Louis Rams, which the 49ers won 19–16 in overtime
