Many direct transatlantic flights are shorter than those within North America with a connection, especially if you live on the east coast….
Ireland, Scotland etc.

@Randy @Tron …hate that you were busting on Zoos in the latest trap draw. There are some really bad zoos out there but like any other business, there are also some really good zoos doing some amazing work to save animals from extinction and create/contribute to successful conservation efforts. Happy to talk more about the importance of zoos whenever you want.

SNN-EWR is indeed shorter than BOS-LAX.
I don’t know the exact list of the current longest flights in the world since it’s hard to track which routes were suspended and now operating again in COVID. But they’re in the range of 16.5 hours. UA is currently operating IAH-SYD and SFO-SIN which are in the ballpark of longest flights. NZ is about to start AKL-ORD, SQ flies SIN-EWR.

And @dgolfman62281 that’s been my exact takeaway from their employees every time I’ve flown them the last few years - smug arrogance mixed with Brian the overzealous server from Chotchkies who wears all the pieces of flair. Just really unsettling. Southwest’s been given a free pass for far too long!

Wasn’t 7 large, but at one point it was $3500 to fly economy from STL-DCA.
