That’s awesome! I need a full breakdown of the pharmaceuticals involved in this modern medical achievement
Thank god it didn’t say Oregon WOMAN!
Nice work by Delta this weekend. Traveled to Williston, ND via Minneapolis. No problems for us. My sister, however, was making the same trip from Detroit. Tight but easily doable connection to the same flight we were on (their bags made it). Except it gets really tough to make your flight when the jet bridge dies. They sat on the plane for an hour until ultimately being towed to another gate long after we were in the air. Not great. Delta!
That’s an issue that varies airport to airport - whether or not the airline is responsible for the upkeep of jetbridges. It’s likely related to whether or not the airline owns the terminal or just leases gates. And many airports are transitioning to CUTE - common use terminal entries. CUTE gates are definitely owned by the airport authority.
I get that, but ultimately the airline is going to bear the brunt of the outcome, so it’s in their interest to make sure that shit doesn’t happen. The average customer doesn’t know it isn’t their fault, and Delta (in this case) is the one who has to make sure the passenger gets to their final destination. There’s lots of ways to get to Minny. I can still get there without flying Delta. I mean, if something breaks on my car, I’m going to blame the automaker, not the 3rd party manufacturer who probably made the part.
Flew out of IAH this afternoon. I realize it’s the end of July 4th weekend, but the traffic situation outside the airport is a complete disaster. Was within 1 mile of the terminal and took us almost 30 minutes to get to the dropoff location.
However, on the good side, Precheck line was super short, and United got us out as quickly as possible ahead of the tropical storm coming in. I think it’s a much better airport to connect through as opposed to flying in/out of because the traffic situation is so bad.
we flew out of LGA today on a quick 48-hour trip and the precheck line was longer than regular TSA. I looked over and was floored. Precheck didn’t take very long either, and it would have been shorter had the bag courier system not taken forever.
also, boo to them for only having Clear in Terminal C
My condolences.
Well, I didn’t stay there. My dad grew up an hour away in Sidney, MT. Decide for yourself whether that’s better or worse, but Sidney has the advantage of having a bunch of relatives and my aunt’s pool.
Clear is a fucking rip off and not worth it.
it’s worth it when you don’t pay for it
No it’s not. It’s often longer and takes more time than straight up precheck. This is my findings at bna, ord, iad, den.
Saw the latest AA bashing on Twitter and just needed to chime in with my roughly once a year stand up for AA post.
Phoenix is the home base currently and was DFW years back. Flew PHX-LAX-OGG earlier this summer and direct back. No lost luggage, one minor delay, no other issues.
I have had some great flight attendants experiences lately also. Flights to Chicago, Denver, Seattle, DFW, and others over the last 6 months, no cancels and probably 50% upgrade rate for flights that were booked basic economy.
Find a new slat, all airlines have flaws.
Not at my home airport
Bold choice to brag about AA then admit to taking a connection when AA offers a PHX-OGG nonstop (which dates back to the America West days).
Nonstop economy and connecting thru LA first class, same price. My choice. As someone who 6’7”, I prefer a bigger seat.
Again, find a new slant.
My slant is that AA is a fucking dumpster fire. And so are Delta, United, JetBlue, Southwest, and all the other domestic carriers, who have all taken multiple days of my life away from me due to sheer incompetence and crass greed. Kudos will be given when earned, but it’s rare. No sense in cultivating a fandom of any of the airlines in the U.S.
Totally agree here. In my view, just find an airline, pot commit, and push for miles and upgrades. Every single domestic carrier sucks in their own way.
I think living at a hub can skew your opinion of an airline. I’ve got a lot of family/friends in the valley and a decent amount of them fly AA regularly, mostly on direct flights so they don’t run into as many issues with connections and delays, just less moving parts.
Being based in SAN, almost everyone in my office has a story of why they won’t fly AA or will only as a last resort based on connection issues.
