I flew Allegiant last week and it was a rather pleasant experience.

I kind of would prefer they err on the side of providing too much information. Like if I’m stuck on the plane and we’re not going anywhere, my particular anxiety would prefer periodic updates, even if it’s just to say we don’t have any more information. Just like every ten minutes “they’re still trying to find another gate for us, but I’ll give another update in 10 minutes”. It’s when I just get silence for a half hour that I start to get anxious. What’s described above is probably overkill.

I forget what the company policy was but I always tried to give an update every 15 minutes.
Problem I saw was guys with low social skills giving updates like they were explaining the issue to an engineer or a meteorologist. They couldn’t figure out how to keep it short and simple. That’s why an airline is now employing story tellers.

JFK to Heathrow based on inflation would need to be over 1K now. I flew Heathrow to YVR in business this year for <1K.

Definitely depends on where you’re flying from. I can’t get outta Richmond for less than 600 bucks unless I’m going to a big domestic city. Even then it can be more. Like this week I’m flying to Philly and the ticket was 720 bucks for economy
From what I’ve seen domestic air travel has become more expensive than international.

On a 5 hour flight next to a heavily drugged up, fully grown, golden doodle. This will either be the most peaceful flight or I’m going to get pissed/shit on by the dog. We shall see.

lol so this was apparently not true. We got a call from American that they found our bag yesterday … in Dallas. It’s getting fedexed to us. Should be here in a few days. 
Am I convinced it’s our bag? Nope! Well find out soon.

Thankfully a very peaceful flight. He slept pretty much the whole time and even took a quick nap on my foot. Way better than any other passenger I could’ve had next to me.
