I was sitting in first class on a very old and crappy regional jet last week. Seat immediately “reclines” (I.e., is incapable of remaining upright with my upper body weight) when I sat down. I apologized to the guy behind me, but definitely didn’t fee as bad as if I had been in coach.
It is JAL! We have 3 passengers (wife, son, myself) so will do 2 seats on the side and one of the aisle seats in the middle section.

On my quick hop from Denver to Albuquerque today, United pilot walked the aisle pre flight, showing the flight path and weather patterns on an iPad to the entire plane. Like a tour pro talking through a confident green read. Inspiring stuff. Is this a new thing?
Have never seen a pilot do that. Sounds like a pilot who was bored and wanted to whip it out to the passengers, aviationally speaking of course
It’s not a new thing unfortunately. It’s pretty widespread around the industry but some people don’t realize that people just want to comfortably/safely get from A to B without being unnecessarily interrupted
