Just a solid week’s worth of never before seen inside footage of the brightest young stars…playing at the home of golf…in a century old competition…that mixes good old fashion sportsmanship with fierce competition…topped off with a big scoop of Birmingham, Alabama. No big deal.
Combining Korn and St. Andrew’s is art in its purest form.
Reminder the NLU Walker Cup week-in-the-life debuts tonight. One of the many reasons I love the Walker Cup is how many of golf’s power brokers, former Walker Cup players, and random cognoscenti show up at the matches each time it’s held.
Let’s make it interesting: I’ll send a copy of Shackelford’s excellent Cypress Club history to whoever can identify the most people in the crowd by the end of tonight’s live premier. Send them to me via DM so your list isn’t revealed to others. I’ll post the winner tomorrow along with the full list of names.
I’ve said this about so many NLU films when they premiere but truly this is one of the best films they’ve ever done. Thoroughly enjoyed every second, from behind the scenes, to match narratives, to commentary, etc.
Congrats to the team @djpie @Randy @sundaybag
Excellent film. All of the “week in the life’s” remain rewatches for me. Honestly was pretty cool looking at some of the names and seeing where they’re at today.
The needle drop in the trailer is ALL TIME.
Well done by all pulling this together. This is the type of content that elevates NLU above the others in the golf space.
The thing about quality content is that it takes a lot of work, which is evident in watching this “A Week In The Life”
I loved the tidbits from @BamaBearcat such as the Swilcan bridge being across the street or pointing out that the impact of the sheer amount of people killed in WWI and WW2 affecting the UK teams.
Unsure how you top that, was worth the wait. The Kiwi accent of George Harper Jr popping in now and again made me laugh
Anyone who has woken up in St. Andrew’s before knows the sounds of those sea gulls, great small detail that makes a big difference. Epic stuff!
