Tourist Sauce: The Carolinas

Tobacco Road is a course for low handicappers. Boo! Low handicap privilege.

Tobacco Road isn’t a low HC only course. It’s very playable, if you follow the yardage book and not your eyes. Just hit the ball to the wide areas.

A friend of mine broke 80 for the first time at TR. Now Tot Hill Farm, that is a tough course.

Anybody have opinions on the enjoy ability of doing a stay in play in December? I get their emails all the time after looking into booking my groups trip there last summer. Looked up weather and it says average high in the low 50s but normally wet? I have too many vacation days left not to go somewhere this winter.

It was freezing yesterday in Durham. Coldest day since probably February.

Before the cold weather hit, I was going to ask if you guys were considering relocating The Kill House to Pinehurst.

Really just depends. You can get really lucky and it be great. You may be able to do a similar package with them but downgrade the hotel a bit. I’ve used them in the past and they are very accommodating.

Weather will probably be hit or miss but for $349 with two hotel nights that’s less than you’d pay for 2 of those 3 rounds combined in peak season.

spoiler alert: @Double_Bogey_Dave bought my putter

It seems like the Fore Play boys were just in the Pinehurst area too…wonder if the Jets and Sharks crossed paths.

Planning to take a “sick” day Monday and play Pine Needles for the first time. 18th is the first day MP/PN rates change over from $185 to under $100

Could be King’s North. Or maybe TPC (shoutout to The Faz), Grande Dunes, Pawleys Plantation, Dye Course, The Dunes, Tidewater.

Or none in Myrtle Beach.

If that’s the case it’ll be too good. Holiday inn points somewhere close and discounted golf.

Yes that sounds like something a low handicap would say. I dont hit it out of bounds on purpose. I swear I was aiming at the fairway.
