the 1-hole “press” is a mega-aggro move. usually you only see late-match presses.
in an 18-hole match, an “auto-press” is very common, where, say you lose 3&2, you press for the remaining 2 holes.

say you have a team competition, 4 players on each team, by adding an auto-press, you
1: Now have 8 matches instead of 4
2: Ensure all players at least sniff 18 holes of golf
