My wife and I have been planning a 10 year anniversary trip and somewhere in Scandinavia has been a top contender. She’s been waiting for this series to come out so she can get a glimpse of it and make the final decision. Based on the trailer - looks like I better start figuring out how to get to Lofoten.
Lofoten is dope.
If I was to iron out a trip with my wife, I would look at Copenhagen as the center of it all. Then would smash Gotland Island and creep up to Oslo. Stop in some of the old fishing towns on the western coast of Sweden on the way.
Sweeeeet - the itinerary grows. Thanks for the suggestions! In truth - we were 99% certain this is what we wanted to do. Scotland was on the possibilities - but its just a bit too much golf for someone who only wants to walk the courses (her) and so Scandinavia seemed like a great mix of wonderful setting and exploring mixed with some awesome golf
So @Soly , what did you have to do to get licensed abroad?
Once again, Tourist Sauce is going to make me wish I had 5 best friends who want to travel the world and play golf with me…
Me going back to work after watching the trailer
I spent two years living in Sweden and have been back twice. Also hit up Norway and Copenhagen on my last trip. I have lots of thoughts on what’s best to do and see if you need any other opinions.
I agree with @sundaybag. I’d fly to Kastrup (Copenhagen), then cross the bridge and head south of Malmo to the towns along the Osterlan coast. Then back up to Bohuslan which is just north of Gothenburg. Here’s a little itinerary for Bohuslan. Then on to Oslo. I’d only go in Summer. I’d spend most of my time in Bohuslan in a little summer cottage.
Will certainly DM you
Summer is the only time - she’s a teacher so has to be in mid-july/early august which is a bummer as we won’t see northern lights (we had hoped we could visit Lofoten and see them but we’ll be too early)
And get paid for it…
Drone still go brrrr
Is it the 26th yet
NLU should auction off an early release of every episode of this season for the hurricane relief
Northern lights are cool, but that time of year the darkness is crushing. I spent time in Sundsvall, which was the furthest north in Sweden I ever lived, and in the winter months the sun came up at 11:30 and went down at 2:30. Brutal.
Is there going to be any Scandanavian merch drops? I missed out on the wayward polos with swedish flag and will regret it until my dying day.
If there isn’t a clip of @MerchCzar in full Icarito mode tossing clubs around like the Swedish Chef, then why did y’all go?
