Tourist Sauce Season 8 - Scandinavia: The heartbeats were real!

I’ve finally finished this most recent season and I have almost no words.

  • The finale was one of the best pieces of golf content I’ve ever seen. Beautifully shot, the late night setting, and the drama of both Soly and Neil being GASSED by the end of the round.
  • It filled me with a sense of nostalgia for something I’ve never had as a young, inexperienced golfer. I really want to have a group trip experience like that, unique courses and locations and activities.
  • It really makes me appreciate any opportunity in golf to really take in the world around us and emphasize the environmental aspect of golf vs. another sport like tennis.

Thank you to the whole team for producing something that has such an impact on people. Looking forward to Springtime where there will be much more golf in store for all of us. Merry Christmas Refugees

Great Post here and I concur.
Looking forward to seeing Soly at the Sentury TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS in January!

Looked like Soly was having a great time, but not a “Roger Avary will never release this footage” kind of a good time.

Before @djpie, before Adam Scott, there was Freddie Couples. The original Tanimal.

I caught Tiger back in 2019 on a Tanimal adjacent day. Fun fact: this is also the day I first heard about NLU

Eh, that’s more gray than tan.

If I ever make it to Sweden, not leaving without the Fjallbacka bucket hat @Tron is sporting in the latter eps. What a sick logo.

Unfortunately the Lofoten logo was not sweet. Was so excited to get something from there this past summer and then the logo just didn’t work. I’ll always try to find a way to “Merch” but there just wasn’t anything there I liked as much as I wanted to.

Given Tourist Sauce’s evolution from a golf trip to a trip with golf, I would love to see a bit more detail around the finer details to ultimately learn “The TC Way.”

Because of TS, I have convinced my wife that we should do our 5-year anniversary in Copenhagen. I/we will not be playing golf, but I am certain the culture and food provide for a great summer trip. Would love to know where they stayed, ate, etc. That’s the good stuff.

Was walking a solo round on a mostly empty course Sunday morning. Starting on hole 8 the swing completely falls apart. Can’t make contact with anything and it became a dark battle with myself over the course of the next few holes. A true war (ok obviously not a true war, but you know what I mean). I’d been listening to the TS Scandinavia playlist and I get to the 11th hole and Adelie by kingpinguin (you’ll know it when you hear it) comes on. For some reason, this song completely got in my head and I was ready to do whatever it took to figure it out…or launch my clubs into oblivion…there was no in-between. Turns out, this is the perfect song to play at max volume on your Sonos on repeat for half a round of golf if you want to exorcise some demons. The golf remained horrible until the 15th hole, when I went on a par streak to finish the round - a fact I attribute completely to kingpinguin, @djpie, and @justine for their great soundtrack selections.

I’ve done multi hour practice sessions exclusively listening to that song on repeat. For some reason it gets me in the perfect headspace. I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being my most listened to song of 2023

Added: it’s also great for runs. Rhythmic and, like you insinuated, war-like. It’s great for that mental battle of endurance workouts.

Couldn’t agree more. Will definitely be added to the running playlist and focused work playlist.

my fav part was when Neil beat Tron and Tron freaked out like they were playing when they were kids haha.

Have to shoutout to @djpie and the hitters for the montage of Ludvig’s swing set to a melancholy piano piece during the credits of Episode 6.

Truly a fitting way to honor @Tron 's play that day, showing his prized horse on parade :horse_racing:.
