I was pretty ragged at this point. 8 or 9 days of gorging on great food, battling all sorts of short game demons, not sleeping well and then the added variables of both shaggy/sticky fairway grass and weirdly dry surrounds had me in shambles by the turn. I just couldn’t get any momentum going. Neil made some big big putts and really put the pedal down when he needed to and I just kept making egregious errors from the middle of the fairway and creating new problems.

Seriously great episode. The Tron vs Neil trilogy definitely contains some of my fav moments in NLU history.
I have mixed feelings about Neil graduating to playing like a grown up. I made this transition myself a few years back, and I OFTEN reminisce about my days of always trying to pull off cool (STUPID) s**t all the time. My handicap likes playing like an adult, but my heart……………

A truly epic narrative arc would entail Czar killing the “kid” in the early rounds. Being a grown up, playing grown up golf all the way to the finals, and then having the “THE KID” triumphantly return in finals and let the air mailing commence. Would watch.
