Iāve had a longtime rule for our vacations that has made them very successful:
āOne big thing a day.ā
That big thing could be a trip to a museum or a tour of the city or something as simple as going to dinner at a certain restaurant.
If you only have one thing to accomplish a day and you do it, youāre going to come away from your trips feeling like you did everything you set out to but also had time for those serendipitous side quests.

After punishing my wife with road trips/vacations that included 11+ hour days on the road during college, best thing we ever did was have a trip with only the hotels planned and them being a very short drive apart.
Being able to say, āWant to just sit here for a little longer?ā made the for the most sublime vacation.

Love the close up look of the Vasa. Have a friend who married into a Swedish family and he makes everyone go see it the first time they visit Stockholm. But, have to defend the Captain of the Vasa for a second. Ship was widely unstable due to the arrogance of the King and never should have been out to sea.

This is shaping up to be a rich and satisfying season. Not sure if the on course stuff will be as inspiring as past seasons, but the time spent off course has freshened up the travel aspect of the series for me. After how much this past year in golf has felt like a runaway #content train, the balance and composure of these first few episodes has been scratching an itch.
