Tourist Sauce Season 7: Michigan Wine and Dine

Tell her there’s all sorts of cool Pokemon. Because there’s no way Traverse City isn’t just a made-up place within a Nintendo DS game with a Flying type Pokemon boss. I’m not falling for this one again, Michigan.

The TC trip has gained substantial momentum! Anyone willing to share any specific Airbnb/VRBO, ETC. you loved? Final number of adults still tbd, but will probably be 8. And 3 kiddos 3 and younger.

Also, this thread legit helped my case so if anyone else is up there in August and wants to launch em one morning the collll beers are on me!

Traverse/Suttons vacation has commenced! Hit me with those recs. Dinner last night at The Filling Station was like 8/10.

If you’re looking for a good greasy burger and fries, Slabtown is a great option in Traverse. They also have their soda machines stocked with local options, really cool hole in the wall type spot!

The Blue Tractor in downtown TC has good food and drinks.

Right Brain Brewery also a cool vibe with good beer and spent-grain waffle sandwiches.

Wife and I were disappointed in the Blue Tractor when we visited last year.

Definitely recommend The Little Fleet because you can get a variety of things there.

Also, my wife had some of the absolute best Pho we have ever had at The Good Bowl.

Cook’s House for fine(ish) dining will be the best meal you have in Traverse, but probably a tough call if you’re traveling with kids. And you may need reservations far in advance. Also reccommend Little Fleet. Rare Bird is a good pub grub spot as well.

Oh nooooo!

Something bad in the experience or just ‘meh’?

Just “meh” overall. The food was solid, but not worth the price we paid IMO and the service was well below what we would expect at a restaurant like that and it wasn’t even like they were busy or understaffed.

Shoutout @Randy

Put my tee shot on #11 at Diamond Springs right in between the 2 trees in the middle of the fairway. Need more trees in the middle of the fairways on par 5s.

Doesn’t really look like fairway from this angle.

It’s all 1 cut so it’s actually longer than a normal “fairway”.
