Tourist Sauce Season 6 - Oregon: Finale @ Silvies (Craddock Routing)

I think it’s about being an artist. But the art is shit.

The art MAY be shit. Come on.

Humblebrag.

Low handicap privilege!

Amen to that!

DJ I believe is the music editor. In Strapped he’s also sometimes the composer and musician!

What a great episode. May not have the majesty of the Sheep Ranch ep, but that doesn’t make it any less enjoyable. Pure golf here, and congrats to @djpie for a truly great round.

Also, he must have really been feeling it to still hit a solid approach and snag a par at the last while Keiser was standing there watching. Impressive stuff. Pretty sure no matter well I was playing - if the course founder came out to watch me finish out I guarantee it’s probably a chunked approach that goes 50 yards, followed by a blade over the green, chip and 3 putt. Clutch finish DJ.

A couple months ago I played with a fellow that can’t break 100. On a par 3, he asked what I’m hitting.

Me: 8

Him: Really?! I can’t believe that, because I’m hitting 9!

Me: It doesn’t matter how far you hit it, it matters where you hit it.

He missed the green, and I lipped it out with the 8-iron, haha.

Incidentally, this sort of thing happens to me a lot. I play with several guys who hit it farther than I do, but I’m the lowest handicap. I kind of enjoy telling them I hit a 4 when they hit a 6.

huge thing that Bandon and Oregon is on TS this year because of travel limitations, such a small positive in 2020

OK, I’ve processed it now. I believe @djpie is actually a stick now. He’s previously been acting like mid-handicapper and had me fooled, because I have not been paying attention to the improvement.

Question for @djpie you have 1 round, non Bandon non Lahinch to break par to save your life. Who are you taking as your caddie, Squid or Huey?

Wasn’t Huey @Tron’s caddie?

He was but I think DJ said he was the best greens reader he has ever seen

#Cinematography appreciation post. Let’s see how well the boys do this time without the bright blue ocean making it easy for them…

This right here is such an awesome angle:

“I was 1-under, not even.” - @djpie

This was just too good by @Tron

Gonna need a sauce ruling on this move with the putter by DJ just as the putt turns right towards the hole. Also kudos to the broadcast crew for picking up more player-caddie conversations this week!

DJ with Keiser watching and waiting…

Played an emergency 9 on Sunday before it started raining, and was thinking about the Artiste’s round and our discussion about club yardages. Had 140 into some breeze and decided to choke up on a 7i and hit an 80% flighted down shot. This may be my formal enlistment application for the #DartBrigade.

Very excited to see how the crew plays Dunes tonight in US Am conditions.

God this happens to me all the time, too. I play most of my rounds with randoms so it’s not like they know how I hit it and can gauge accordingly. They for some reason will determine which club to hit based on what I hit. I’ll usually answer to not come off as a douche, but I really just want to say, “It doesn’t matter, just hit it 160.”

I pretty much always answer “I hit my 170 club” or whatever. Most of my rounds are at my club, so if someone is asking it’s because of wind or an unusual pin position, not because they have no idea what to hit.

I stopped telling the people and just tell them the yardage I played it.

Unless I’m playing with regular golf buddy. We know each other’s games and how are distances match up.

Wrong thread, but you are missing a prime opportunity to play the caddies’ club up game mentioned on TFE/SGS.

My submission for the iron distance is irrelevant discussion: 135 yard manufactured 8-iron for a rare late November HIO yesterday in sub 40 degree temps.

I’m sure you all are very jealous of our club’s off-season PVC flagsticks.
