The literal first 5 seconds is me every single time I listen to Gankas because my brain moves too slow when he talks about the swing.
“The more and more I rotate, the more the face is going to stay where?”

good start to the season…just wish it was like 3 hours longer
Great start, loved the episode. Agree with some previous posts, some uncut video from the lessons would be awesome!
Highlights
-The blend of Soly saying he’s nervous with having Neil drive the RV with the clip of Neil toting a 30 of the champagne of beers.
-Random Cuban guy looking for a shout out to his Cuban wife/gf/mistress
-The N64 gamer talk. Quick story. My adult group of friends spawned from years of an NCAA football online dynasty. There was 6 of us. We all had a school, recruited, played, always got together for the national championship at someone’s house. We’d go up to Boston for coaches weekends and visit another friend in the dynasty. This went on for years. We still have the group chat to this day. We do game nights with wives. We all go to each other’s kids birthday parties. 6 of my closest friends all spawned from NCAA football online dynasty on Playstation. (I was of course Notre Dame)
-Gankas’ overall look is absurd. I wish I could live my life with 1% of the confidence that guy has.
-Nobody does vibe like the NLU guys do in their video work. Incredible work as always.
-TCs sweater fuqs.
Also. Neil has the best move of the crew.
I’m such a prissy bitch, I don’t know if I’d survive sharing an RV with a group of my best friends for that long on a golf trip no less.
The fact that Tron is the resident fashion commentator is dripping with irony…
Was that Gone with the Wynns? Or somebody else?
This was SV Delos! My wife and I won the opportunity to go to sailing school last year in Grenada thanks to the Delos crew, and got to hang out with them a couple of nights. It’s crazy the amount of views they get. I think they average close to 300K views per episode.
We’re fans of the Wynns as well and support them nominally via Patreon.
That was incredible, as a few people have said that seemed to fly over way too quick.
Solid start boys!
You do realize it’s a bit, right?
Gankas after watching Randy: “I need an old priest and a young priest”.
I’ve played Rustic Canyon, Pacific Grove, Pasatiempo, and Harding Park and love them all for their own merits and in their own rights. Because I have a connection dating back 25 years to Harding Park (part of the men’s club before the redo), it is nearest and dearest to my heart.
Wish they had made it out to Rancho Park and Sharp Park as I view those and the quintessential munis in LA and SF, respectively, but I love the line-up and can’t wait to see all of these tracks through their eyes.
Sort of surprised Stanford made the list since it’s not really open to the public, but that probably had to do with Conrad Ray and I can’t wait to see that interview.
You summed it up well! Would’ve loved rancho, sharpe, soule, gleneagles, pismo beach, and some other stuff along the central coast but we also had to balance the fact that we were going to murder one another if we spent more than 9 or 10 days in there
Watching the Genkas lessons makes me want all the NLU guys to do a 10 week crash course on their games. Lessons, practice etc. Then have them each make their own training camp vlog diary that they have to film and edit themselves. Finish it off with a mega show down at Jax Beach.
EDIT: really all I want is @MerchCzar to get the guidance he needs to fulfil his athletic potential, get the mega bonus and go to town at the state fair!
Much rather have you guys around for season’s 4-20 of Tourist Sauce than recovering your bodies from the RV driven over a cliff in Big Sur
Thanks for doing what you do, we’re all living through you guys to one degree or another
Any thought to hosting NLU listener tournaments attached to some of your travel?
Just finished that first episode and it was awesome. Gankas is the freakin’ man. He absolutely loves what he does and that video showed that so well. Pumped to see the rest of the season, the golf courses, and how the boys handle this RV.
So @djpie, when can we expect episode two?
I suspected it before, but I am now convinced Gankas is a golf Einstein. He understands the swing at a level that no one else does. He sees it in 4 dimensions.
I mean it really says something that even perpetual know-it-all Brandel Chamblee is seeking his wisdom now.
starts pricing out the cost of traveling out there for lessons
Normally I would wait until after work, but I was so stoked to see it after listening to the preview pod had to watch it over lunch. Did not disappoint. Can’t wait for the next episode.
I was still trying to work it out from Pacific time after the AT&T last week . Then there’s mountain time, central time, eastern time, summer time in U.K. how are we supposed to cope
. I got there in the end thanks
What gets me going crazy is that he charges $350/hour and gives lessons for like 10 hours every day…not because he has to, but because he loves to. That’s $3,500 PER DAY. If he did that 5 days a week, which I suspect he does between his weekend work, that’s $900,000+ per year slinging lessons on the range of some shitty California course. And he still does a ton of work privately people don’t know about too. Insane
Plus his subscription content business. Plus the people that pay him a hell of a lot more than $350 an hour.
