Tourist Sauce, Season 2 (SCOTLAND)

I had never heard of the guy, but I visited his website. It’s like a time capsule that has been discovered too soon. Pictures of Peter with now dead golfing greats and Tiger Woods before the scandals. His friends and acquaintances are gone. All that’s left are his 6,000-plus Twitter followers, seven episodes of a now defunct podcast, and copy promoting what he did almost 25 years ago for HBO. It can be a lonely world when everyone moves on when you are not looking.

9.9/10 Not enough Young Neil

But for real, I’m so excited for this series, and episode 1 leaves me only wanting more!

I’m so stoked for this as we have a group of 8 all but booked for a Scotland trip next summer. Won’t necessarily play all these same courses, although I wish we could, it’ll all feel pretty similar. Episode 1 was fantastic. Can’t wait for the rest! Thanks for putting all this together fellas!

@Randy narrating seems too perfect for Season 2. I myself have never been to Scotland, but it just seems like he belongs there. Like he’s Malcolm’s long lost nephew. Episode 2 can’t come soon enough.

Agreed that Randy’s narration and script were excellent. Just in case you guys haven’t seen it yet, he also did a companion article with more hole descriptions and tid bits. Worth checking out!

These companion articles were one of my favorite parts about the Bandon trip, so I hope these are a continuing theme throughout Season 2.

Simply the best. Props to @Soly and the gang for intentionally working against our binge watching habits.

What’s your itinerary look like? It’s an embarrassment of riches over there - really can’t go wrong!

Delightful story - glad he hit a cracker of a drive on 18! What a send-off

@Soly Peter is rooting for you guys…please please please bring him on as the next Pod guest so you can learn how to improve!!! A @tron vs. Peter debate of, well, anything would be so fantastic.

Does he have us confused for Barstool?

I would say yes, but if he actually watched the video, I’m not quite sure how he could draw that conclusion.

This is a man that said a week ago more people recognized him than Payne Stewart when they golfed together. Lol. His ego is beyond anything I could imagine.

First week of July and right now it looks like the PGA at Gleneagles, Kingsbarns, Carnoustie, St. Andrews Castle Course, and Elie.

We weren’t successful with the random Old Course tee time drawing, so we’re saving room to ballot or standby there. We’re staying in St. Andrews the whole time. I could honestly sub out 1 or 2 of these rounds for some others, but I’m not planning it and right now just happy to be along. Did manage to work Elie in there though.

One of my friends who is going on this trip is already talking about the next one and going up to the Highlands. Thanks to you guys, I might already be more excited for that one haha. Just hope it’s sooner rather than later.

Loving the #content, keep up the good work.

As entertaining as that could be, the less exposure that guy gets, the better. Going on a popular golf podcast benefits him greatly and does nothing for NLU.

Sure, he doesn’t deserve the exposure, but it’s not like he’s going to gain any fans considering the nonsense he’ll spew. AND, I’m here for the entertainment…and it would certainly be entertaining!

Reading through his twitter threads is pure gold.

I wish we could have seen Soly and the crew in the Kill House during Peter’s tweet fest. More restraint shown than I could ever muster. I would have been on a warpath.

Hi Gleneagles is a fabulous place, but unless you absolutely have to follow in the steps of the 2014 Ryder Cup, I’d say dont play the PGA course. Queens and Kings are where it is at, two of the loveliest inland courses in the UK…if you go on a Sunday or Monday after 2.30pm you can get on for £100.

Good idea to go inland for at least one day, give yourselves a break from the coast, will be less windy*.

*This may not pan out to be true.

What about the medicinal and healing properties of seaside living? I know @Randy would agree. Coastal is where it’s at.

Very true, and no bigger fan of links golf than me. But if it were me I’d schedule some inland courses and get the full flavour of the place. Gleneagles, Ladybank, Loch Lomond if you can get on, my old place Blairgowrie too. They are all lovely.

But yeh, I get it…US is a big 'ol place, when you come over here you want to play the links. Dont say I didnt warn you though!
