I think there needs to be a governing body that gives awards to golf video content. That way, when someone makes something that is “too good” like, lets say, Shape of Water, and no one watches it because its about fucking a fish, they can still get a trophy and recognition for it.
Let golfholics be Michael Bay, people will gobble that crap up. Let NLU be Martin Scorsese, 1/10th the audience but 10x the rotten tomato points.

Don’t want to speak for Soly either but I’d be a little frustrated/confused if something like Golfholics is getting more views and subscribers than Tourist Sauce, which is clearly more refined. Definitely keep doing what you’re doing though because it’s awesome.
I’d compare it to beer companies. Most people that like beer would agree a craft beer manufacturer is going to make a better product than Coors Light, but it’s not going to get as many sales because Coors light appeals more to the masses (don’t really care about taste - just want something cold and alcoholic). The craft beer manufacturer doesn’t get frustrated by this…it’s just aware it’s hitting a different demographic.
That said, Tourist Sauce is still very young and I’m pretty sure if you keep producing great stuff more people are going to notice.

The thing i’m noticing about EAL, is that there seems to be a lot of “everyone see how amazing my lifestyle is” going on. Enough for me to stop watching.

This is why I probably like the content that both GH and NLU produce. I love craft beer but I also like Coors Light. Can’t a man enjoy both?

Michael Bay is too big a compliment for Golfholics. Less bad and bad. Their Pebble videos were garbage (in my opinion). Haven’t watched anything since.

Damn, people are really trying to make this bigger than it is today.
I would argue pretty strongly that it lacks substance. You of course may disagree. It’s the same thing every time, sometimes in a new location. Every time that I click a video, I come in with the mind that this might be different, and that it’s going to be worth my time, and I can’t make it more than 30% in. Of course, this is my opinion.
It’s unfair to just assume that I’m “firing shots” just because they’ve aggravated us in some way. That’s not where any of this is coming from. It’s an observation strictly based on the content. People watch it! So they’re probably not going to change it. That doesn’t mean that I think it has substance.
