Tourist Sauce S9 - Who will be the golf daddy?

I definitely do. I’ve been going back and watching TS Ireland in preparation for an upcoming trip and those eps are like half the length but feel longer to me because they’re not as fully realized. And that’s not a knock on the older seasons, they’re why I fell in love with NLU content. But the newer seasons have become like episodes of good tv with well thought out style and more clear narrative arcs

Yes - very much so. I want to see a ton of golf, the match that day, and the off course activities. Really provides the full golf trip experience.

Good comparison I’ve read is TS is like Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown for golf. The #content is incredible for a free youtube series

I prefer the shorter episodes. Perfect example is the most recent season. King Island took 11 minutes to just reach the course. I’m all for the golf adjacent travel/around town stuff but that’s just too long for me.

Understand I’m probably in the minority though.

I’m kind of in the middle, I prefer the 20-30 min episodes with a 50/50 split of on/off course stuff. Then have 1-2 longer feature episodes in the season for the truly special courses

I’ve been a fan of the longer episodes. Season 9 content (especially the stuff away from the golf course) inspired me to pitch Australia as a honeymoon destination.

I think I do too.

I think I like the longer episodes but the somewhat “lower production quality” of the earlier seasons. Feels more authentic I guess.

Put me in the long episode camp. Season 9 was magic.

Now that we’ve rolled over into 2025, what do people expect for tourist sauce? I’m kind of anticipating nothing until 2026 with all the young hitters born last year, though if something does happen I would guess it’s stateside. Wisconsin now that Sand Valley has a 4th full course?

Wisconsin is amazing of course but I feel like we’ve seen them play almost everywhere there (aside from Kohler which Tron has louded said is overrated). So I’d doubt that, as I think Tourist Sauce is at least somewhat about introducing folks to new courses they haven’t seen.

I know they originally planned for England before COVID. As someone who is in the midst of planning a 2026 golf trip to England, I’m hoping they finally make that happen.

My guess remains Spain / portugal

Any chance they would go to Arizona/Southern Utah maybe Vegas sprinkled in for this upcoming season if they were to stay in the states? Its one on of the last big golf locations in the states they haven’t done yet.

St. George has a really good chance to big the next hot place but I think they need a couple more high level courses to be a true destination a la Scottsdale.

I would tend to agree, Soly seems to be going through it at the moment.

Feel like Travel Logistics Coordinator TC will refuse to do a video series in the Greater PHX area.

And living here, I get it. Kinda like when they go remote, less known places.

AZ golf is way too overblown for as lackluster as it is. I would hope that’s not even a consideration for TS

As a local, don’t do TS here. The people already know about the Scottsdale scene and it’s a bunch of overpriced mediocre desert golf. We got Strapped and that’s enough (though I would have chosen different courses).

I could see them doing another version 2, another Ireland perhaps. I’d also love to see some version of NY TS, but so many of the good courses are behind paywalls that it might go against the spirit of the series
