Lunchtime viewing has never been so good. Tourist Sauce (sorry @djpie but I let out an audible laugh at the ridiculousness of that short putt that went sideways) followed by footage from the Barn Burner.
The nature of links golf course is that it’s easier to play for the less accomplished player (due to firm and fast fairways your ball will run a longer distance, greens can be approached with a running shot, putter is a valid option around the greens) and tougher for good players (you need to land your approaches on the right spot, lots of short grass around the greens).
Therefore links golf is my favourite and superiour to any other type of golf course.
I am sometimes pretty wild of the tee. And I usually lose less golf balls on a links course than on my parkland style home club. On my trip to Ireland in April the only course where the rough was pretty penal was Doonbeg. We played Lahinch. Ballybunion Old and Cashen, Tralee, Dooks and Doonbeg.
I, for one, am looking forward to Tourist Sauce: Trump Properties and the accompanying line of NLU striped and orange apparel.
When you need to account for the wind when putting and you’re afraid your cart will blow away, it miiiiight be too windy to play golf… but I’d still like to believe I’d finish the round in that scenario.
Finally got around to watching this one in the gym at work today on one of the big TVs. My boss (62) walked in and of course asked what I was watching. Had to explain the NLU universe to him, told him it was who I was going to Scotland with, etc. First thing he said after watching for a couple minutes was “Wow the production value and video quality is really good on this. I just assumed everything on YouTube is shot on a phone” He is a golfer and wanted another episode so I put on the Lahinch one for him before I left.
He’s probably deep into an EAL or other “related” content by now not knowing wtf is going on with YouTube autoplaying videos.
Happy Dooks Day. Can’t wait to see this ep and hear what everyone thinks from afar.
DOOOOOOOOKS DAAAAAY
AH I CAN’T WAIT.
obligatory lowercase text because apparently you can’t be excited on here.
I didn’t get the teaser alert last night on YouTube so I was worried about a delay. Whew.
One of my regular playing partners just text me that he booked a flight to Ireland for September. Only $600 out of Chicago. By the end of this episode I might be joining him.
Definitely going to fire up the 'ol GIF maker on Dooks Day. There’s one in particular I think we all know is coming…
Somewhat disappointed they lads chose Killarney for the nighttime rabble rousing. My own personal preference is smaller villages the better. Glenbeigh would have been a treat.
Have a good feeling am going to be proven wrong, given the teaser clips / pics.
So what you’re saying is “No Glenbeigh?”
dont follow…
@GRWhitehead getting Soly’s T Shirt love this episode…nice! (Was he wearing the Lucky Guys shirt in other episodes? May have been and just not registered).
Randy spent a month there one night
Randy in the dance circle giving me strong Segel vibes
Lots of co eds there…expected to see @Randy and @MerchCzar swiping right early and often. Or did that happen after the cameras were turned off?
what a damn good episode. I think everyone in here needs to watch that about 3 times today to erase any negative vibes going around.
I think I smiled ear to ear during the entire thing.
