Happy to be involved in the Inverness (Scotland, though NS would work too) branch, though I have no law degree. So I guess I’m submitting my application for office receptionist/janitor.

These guys are really hammering the ā€œGerrard’s done itā€ joke…

God he was so good and so clutch

I have no doubt you’ll have some insurance issues come up, so as an insurance lawyer I’ll gladly raise my hand. Could also help with marketing and procurement issues.

Can we all agree to not take the bait and respond to Maui Jim whenever he inevitably posts a wall of text 1 hour before the launch of the next episode?

But, he never won the league, and is still undisputedly great. That would never fly in the US.

Won a Champions League…in the most epic of fashions

I wonder if Fiona in the Special Thanks section at the end of the videos is from Waterville…

Although Miriam has a special place in my heart. Nicest woman on the planet.

I know he won a CL. But my point is, Gerrard isn’t measured in trophies. He is so much greater than his cabinet. (And we here in the US have a hard time with that.)

After a long day, finally had a chance last night to sit down and take in Episode 2. What a freakin’ beautiful accomplishment. I have no doubt that it’s the single best episode yet of Tourist Sauce, and I’m sure I’ll watch a few more times before next week. The course, the drone shots, the little quips, the clear fun the guys were having, Huey, the music, and the pub scene were just all fantastic. I was having so much fun watching that part of me wanted the next episode to be another 18 at LaHinch, since everyone talked about how much fun it would be to play again. Incredible work @djpie @Soly @Tron @Randy @MerchCzar - can’t wait to see what the rest of the season holds!

Also, I’ve never wanted a Guinness more in my life than watching those last 5 minutes or so. It’s so damn tasty, and somehow I didn’t have any in my house as I watched. This ep needed to come with a warning to stock up on Guinness beforehand…for strength!

Finally, what was the music cue around minute 13:46 or so…I think Neil was hitting out of a bunker? Just awesome.

Yes!!! It is a deliberate attempt to troll and we shouldn’t engage.

I landed up having a Guinness yesterday as well :grinning: I liked the episode but for me the Dornoch episode from Tourist Sauce Scotland will be very very hard to beat!

Re: Not actually #AmbushMarketing

A friend visiting for the USC game suggested the local Celtic place for dinner on Friday. Very excited for a few Guinnesses with dinner in a couple days.

@djpie can correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe that is Lose Control by Leroy Wild.

(Sorry if that was already answered. Still wading through the thread.)

A million times. Why is this so hard to understand.

JJ Foley’s (South End), The Druid (Inman Sq), Plough & Stars (Central Sq) are all strong to quite strong. Kinsale has good food and a really good tap list, but agree it does not feel like an authentic Irish pub most of the time. The Black Rose at least gets credit for having live Irish music, but gives it all back for everything else.

Mr. Dooley’s is my favorite, but they are something of a dying breed in Boston, and the demise of Doyle’s is emblematic. What is incredible is how bars in Boston turn over all the time, but my 30 favorite pubs in Dublin from 20 years ago were all still there, unchanged, on my most recent visit this summer. Pubs in Ireland are not just business operations, they are civic institutions.
