Landed at 1230p today and getting tuned up at a shitty muni as we speak. Can’t wait for tomorrow. If this no warm up five beer solo 9 hole round after 2 month without swinging is any indication, tomorrow’s… not gonna go well.

I was stupid enough to start this at the beginning of the off season, so to date the only meets have been SoCal and Florida (which is happening today). Plus our PNW crew representin’. Once we get into the spring it’ll come to life with chapters having meetings but until then just let us know where you are and get looped into the chapter chats.

I actually think that’s probably the right time to do it. Something like the site probably took you a lot of leg work, which I wouldn’t judge if it doesn’t get done during the season. Now’s a great time for folks to start bullshitting and planning. Slowly but surely!

I’m saying that glorious day counts as RACDG. And it happened in my section, so we’re on the board. So is it written, so shall it be done.
Thank you @IlliniGolferHack, @Brick, @sdion06, @2down, Steve’s cousin Brendan (@?), our host, and everyone else. Not only was that one of the best times I’ve ever had, and Old Memorial one of the best tracks I’ve gotten to play, but I learned some things:
- My shoes are too damn small.
- I do not swing better after two double Tito’s and lemonades, but I’m also not in the Sunken Place, which is good. I don’t know who got video, but check with me first or at least make sure nobody’s gonna get Barkleyed.
- I had the best caddy. Steve and Brendan were trying to tip him after.
- That wasn’t a tire pressure warning because of cold. I’m running out right after this for two new tires.
- Google Maps is ass. It’s colon cancer on a mobile phone. I made my own law and at least got back as far as Lake Worth before the tire blew out.
- You can beat @sdion06 if you get in his head. But you probably have to be family to know all the good stuff.
We’re going to have to do this again. It may not have Gary Koch’s name on the walls, or waiters eager to put tomato chunks on your Caesar when they clearly don’t belong there. Or even caddies to steal. But this will happen again, even if we have to bring our own Tito’s.

Is this the muni directly next to the airport? Rocky point? Played a few years ago and nearly brained some first tee kids cuz I cut the corner on 9 and they were chipping at the green

Great time meeting up with @JDinDelray, @IlliniGolferHack, @brick, and @sdion06. I was a bit unsure what to expect meeting up with a bunch of refugees IRL, but everyone couldn’t have been nicer. Old Memorial was a treat - really enjoyed the round and the experience. @IlliniGolferHack had a spot open up for Sunday, so I joined up with him and @A.K.Search_Party for a morning round on Streamsong Black.
I think the only thing missing from the weekend was a spirited game of wolf hammer. Perhaps next time. Looking forward to the SE chapter shut in the coming months.

So how about we plan a big meetup for one of the majors this year?
Funnily the GB&I chapter are meeting on Masters weekend so we can watch the Sunday singles together. I thought it’d be fun to sit and watch a big game with the people I’d be chatting with online anyway!
And @Lazstradamus, all over the 1000Greens type social network thing. We’re building it into the website. Having said that, I am an incompetent fool with no ability to focus, so you got that right!
