My favorite brats come from a local (Green Bay) place called Pelkins (Pelkin's Smokey Meat Market - Retail Shop in Crivitz, WI). They have some really crazy flavors, so there is always something wild to try. Bacon cinnamon whiskey brats anyone?
All-time favorite Badger football player is Jamar Fletcher. He lit me up playing pick-up basketball several times, and always called me Peja because of my 3 point range. (On the hoops side it’s Devin Harris.)
I would say I’m usually pretty level, probably around a 5. I tend to air on the higher side when I’m playing against my buddies. I want to beat them since they created this monster.
Walk of course. I usually just have to many options of things to distract me or get misplaced when I’m riding in a cart. Also, I don’t trust other people driving and their habits.
I’d have to say 3 wood. Since that is not a very accurate club for me, I would probably lay up and leave a short wedge in. I’m no hero.
Perfect sunday: Walk the dog, make my morning coffee, take in an early 18, home for lunch. Walk the dog with the wife, nice relaxing night in. (cavs game would be a bonus)
Many ways we can go here, not gonna lie I do love Bruce Almighty but I can’t go away from Dumb and Dumber which is my final answer. Honorable mention to The Mask
Pretty high, but rarely comes out in golf because I’m never in anything competitive, even when I play a match (cause I get blown out).
Do you prefer to walk or ride? Why?
Walk. Helps keep me present in the round. That said, any large refuge event, or one with multiple days of 36, you ride. It’s a marathon, not a sprint, don’t be a hero.
You’re 230 yards out to reach a par five in two. What club are you hitting and what do you think your chances are of executing the shot?
Do I have to reach it in two? Cause unless I’m teeing it up with driver, that ain’t happening, and even if I could tee it up, it probably still ain’t happening. I’m hitting something 160-170 yards to leave myself a wedge into the green.
Perfect Sunday.
Honestly, probably just hanging out with the kid, wife, and dogs in the backyard, enjoying a couple drinks/cocktails and cooking something on the smoker.
I guess it has to be hockey. It was my first love. It’s the sport that has helped develop a strong bond with my father, it is also currently a game my son is trying out. I’m at the rink with him 2-4 days a week so it has been getting a lot of my attention. (I haven’t played since 2020)
But fuck… what I wouldn’t give to land another fakie trey on the bolts… but that would only be satisfaction for me… and no one else but me.
Hockey is present now so I guess that’s it.
Y’all don’t know how much it hurt me to write that out
Shameful here. But I’m not super well versed on supper clubs. Tried to keep that a secret. But here we are.
That said… The Packing House holds a genuinely special place in my heart. They still have live jazz music, which I love. And they kept me going during Covid with their drive thru fish fry line. As stupid as it is, a happy Covid memory was waiting in that fish fry line all the way down to the fruit market (~1/2 mile) blasting music or listening to some podcast or other.
2 other favorites are going to be Buckatabon and Rupps. Buckatabon isn’t really a traditional supper club but a modernist take on one and it’s really good. And Rupps is up in the Kohler area and is a must stop when I’m there for me.
Onion rings or French fries
This is a true “depends on the restaurant”. I’ll take great fries over great onion rings. But good onion rings over good fries. And if they’re bad just fuck me up and give me frings.
If I am playing in a match or a game with a group of friends - I’m playing to win, but not at the expense of the vibes or spending time with friends. If I am playing someone that I don’t see as a good person, is entitled, looks down on others, or talks shit about Milwaukee Tool - 100/10 and I won’t lose
I prefer to walk, but ride when it is paid for in the event or the course is not set up great for it. I play golf to enjoy my time outdoors, take a mental break from the day-to-day, and focus in on something in my control.
Need more info here to put my best answer out here - if i need to land and hold the green, probably a floated 7w, if there is no trouble front - either a 4 or 5i depending on the wind. Probability executing… 40% with the 7w and 60% with the iron in hand
Ideal Sunday:
Wake Up - Drip Coffee
Pancakes with the Daughter and Son (homemade or Original House of Pancakes)
Watch European Futbol with the wife
Family day at the club - 9 holes with the wife and daughter followed by pizza/pasta night to top it off
PS - I may or may not have Milwaukee Tool goodies with me at most times…
