The Op3-'n:10k or bust (Part 1)

You forgot his Golfers Journal triumph. Even if he was riding coattails.

Knee jerk: Probably 13. The approach is unlike anything I’ve played anywhere else.

Miller Latte tastes like soap to me.

@OffTheDole:
Rate your level of competitiveness
Maybe a 6? I’m not super competitive, but I’ve found I really enjoy the level of competition Refuge events provide. I especially like team comps (Shoutout Marauders :v:).

Made it to the semis the last two years of our 2CGC match play bracket, and won my pool in the wrap-around season last fall.

I like the added focus match play and team formats bring, rather than just shooting for a net or quota target.

Do you prefer to walk or ride? Why?
Prefer the walk and definitely walk a majority of my rounds. I like to see more of the course details walking, and there’s a better chance at peeping some wildlife. But carting with some col’ beers is a good time too.

You’re 230 yards out…
Imma stop you right there. I’m probably laying up. I can’t hit my 3w from the fairway (send help), and my 5w goes like 210 on the best of days. Yer boy does not have speed.

Perfect Sunday

  • Caaaawwwwwwffffeeee
  • Tee time
  • Man United win (suck it, haterz)
  • Something off the BGE/grill for dinner (salmon, ribs, things of that nature) OR a tradition from my childhood: popcorn for dinner. Either way probably cracking a craft beer of some sort. (My grandma made the best fucking popcorn. The popcorn pot was a negotiated family heirloom after she passed.)
  • Probably a movie or stream something mindless / fun to wind down the weekend.

Sir. GGMU, absolute diehard, expect my ashes to be spread at OT, but I didn’t even think to list this, that’s how long it’s been.

To follow up: I will be devastated if @Kerry isn’t on our Cup squad (name pending).

I don’t think he hit a bad shot in our round together last Ope. He was a great hang. And there were at least 4-6 times I looked at his fit and thought “damn, he looks cool”.

He’s a can’t-miss prospect on my Big Board.

No lie, I’m a member of the @Kerry Fan Club as well. He’s a fantastic guy to play rounds of golf with.

The fact that I set up- then didn’t join- you, him, and @MidwestHack at SV haunts me to this day.
