I don’t think I’ve ever taken the time to comment on any NLU content and I’m a big fan of the work you guys do, but after this week I did feel compelled to come on here and say this. I’ve never particularly liked Wyndham Clark before this week and I understand a lot of the animosity toward him, however after listening you guys crap all over him and really just the general lack of respect shown toward his game I do find myself hoping he starts winning a lot just so you guys can shut the fuck up about it. He’s won two U.S. Opens now and gone toe to toe with the current two highest ranked players in the world in these two instances and you guys act like it’s some fluke or not real. I hope he’s able to continue winning and you guys are eventually forced to put some respect toward him.

Those tweets are whacky of course, but in another realm from golf. The locker busting gets closer, but getting worked up about it can feel a bit priggish (like a Philadelphia Main Line club saying “that classless oaf would never get into this club”). After all, it’s not like he sexually harassed the help. ;).
On the golf, I can’t really get behind a dude who looks like he’s about to punch someone after every middling shot when he has a five stroke lead (I wouldn’t want to golf with him), but I’m impressed nonetheless. I also appreciate that he has made serious efforts to address his emotional regulation problems — who knows where those come from, and he’s a good example for golfers with similar problems. After all, he went from being impaired by them to winning while publicly showing that he is relying on professional help.
I honestly think 
’s J6 beliefs hurt his likability more than any of his angry outbursts. He may not even believe it anymore; it was years ago when he was liking tweets about it.
He seems like a decent, thoughtful guy and I actually love the expression “open some grape” so much that I’m going to start using it myself, but Trump stink doesn’t wash off.

100%. I was listening to PMT talk about the hatred towards him for 30+ minutes yesterday and not once was that stuff brought up. That’s why most people hate him but they don’t know that and I’m not going to jump into their mentions to bring it up (and invite that crowd of people on twitter into my life).

Well, there’s your answer. I don’t think the general golf populace dislikes Wyndham because of some J6 tweets he liked 6 years ago tbf. A lot of it is definitely the locker/signage stuff from the last couple years.
He honestly seems like a pretty good interview. He’s not afraid to be himself or be vulnerable or self deprecating.

I don’t generally follow athletes personal lives this closely, but Baker has been with his wife for a long time as far as I know. I wonder what the supposed timeline of this is.
