The Midwest "Ope"-in August 20th & 21st, 2021: We're Getting The Band Back Together?

At some point there was talk of logos but that stalled. I have some ideas already but what is the appropriate way to move that forward @BaxterMSP? I have lost messages in a sea of the YOTB towel warehouse. I think Nebraska was part of that logo ask as well but I don’t believe anyone followed up with direction.

That’s a good question. Let me go back into my messages because it’s been months since anyone talked logos

So pissed this launched when we freezing our balls off at Big Cedar. Hope to catch most of you at NSS2… can’t see Alt 34 making the cut!

How much can we charge NLU for the broadcast rights? A Thursday night “preview” show, followed by Friday morning live footage from the Lawsonia putting greens then exclusive content from the blackout/fish fry Friday night.

It’s gold Jerry!

We should be able to get some former on air talent from Golf Channel on the cheap.

Too soon?

I hope we can eat in by then, the food there is good! They have a nice deck out back overlooking the course as well.

Unless of course @JScore brings us hundreds of Fargo’s finest gyros.

Over or Under $90 is the real question?

Must have been too soon…

Live from Hattie Sherwood Campground, I’m JScore and this is the Daily Ope-in Recap sponsored by no one and littered with free ads and shout-outs starting with Domino’s for their Hot Spot delivery to this campground because I’m in no shape to drive right now. Please note the cameras make it appear lighter than it actually is here.

I’m joined by a bunch of other strangers here - some certainly armed and presumably dangerous. We will sprinkle in fellow Refugees to hear their absolutely awful takes on golf and the event.

Today’s action was highlighted by the fact that fewer than 5 people bailed on the event without notifying the Chairguis. A solid start and a testament to the pride of the Midwest Contingency.

Let’s run through some stats…

** 60 participants*
** Average Handicap under 10 (so many vanities…)*
** Average BAC: 0.095*
** Number of shanks, cold tops and off the planet opening tee shots: 3*
** Low Round: 75*
** High Round: 101 (estimated due to rage quit)*

*What are we most looking forward to tomorrow? For me, it’s whether everyone shows up on time and in a proper state of mind and body to find the clubface. *

Oh and who actually wins this thing I suppose if you’re into that sort of thing.

Join us tomorrow night for the exciting conclusion and discussion on all the action.

Yep…this is it.

You’re mixing events buddy. The RR Kitchen is for the North Star…fish fry is Lawsonia.

I’m already dreaming of signs to hold up that make fun of cavity backs.
