@munihack7 knows those greens better than anyone I’ve played with there. Muni at +800 is a steal
So these greens, is it just because half the property is on a massive slope that gravity makes it go right when it should go left based on visuals? I pride myself on my Aimpoint expertise and feeling slopes with my feet/weight distribution. Is this not enough for NCC?
Do we have a game for practice round day or is this where @BaxterMSP and @MerchCzar have their duel and that’s the excitement?
Each green has a prevailing slope which mostly break towards the lake; the trick is reading the very subtle contours within those slopes. The latter part can depend a lot on where the pins are though, hopefully the Super feels cranky one morning.
Stay below the hole and your day will be a lot easier
What time are we playing together in the practice round? Going to need more of this knowledge and see it in live action.
Looks like work is going to cooperate with getting up for a practice round.
Anyone have an open spot and want to Sherpa me around? Planning on calling the pro shop tomorrow.
Think we have a spot left at 12:50
Just called the shop and am good to go for the 4th spot. Thanks!
Also just got work off for Thursday. Any other groups still got some openings?
I’ve got to call in tomorrow for one as well.
I had to back out of the 1pm to allow myself a bit more driving time so I think there’s one slot at least with those guys
You boys should have a blast next weekend. I was able to play 36 at Northland yesterday and the course is humming. Greens are absolutely perfect as they dial it in for “The Spooner” this weekend.
Yes indeed the Land is in fine condition. Had a little rain here and there and course has perked up to the correct shade of green. The greens are perfect (and confounding). The forecast is excellent so the participants will have it great. The key to NCC is to somehow get thru 3, 10 and 18 without disaster. Those holes can be auto bogey or worse. Get the ball to the green on all three. 18 plays LOONNNGG. The second shots on 3 and 10 are club and a half additions. Short on all three means your egg rolls down hill and then you are very very busy. Got to run 11am teetime there today.
Hearing similar reports of the crispiest of crisp conditions. “Not for the meek” said one Spooner participant who claims to have had 145 into the 1st green and intentionally hit a “low knuckler” ~100 yards and watched as the ball trundled the land and eventually ended up 20 feet away.
Yea I’m now irrationally excited.
Fully torqued for this
Working through a muscle issue in the lower back. My win in the belt match will be the greatest injury comeback since Walt Frazier lifted the Knicks to victory, right @Tron?
Already lining up the excuses huh?
Pointing OB?
