I’d like to introduce you to the Hatchet at Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord, MA, on June 22, 2026 (the Monday after Father’s day). Here’s the link to register:
There are lots of stroke play or scramble tournaments out there. We are hoping to try something different for this tournament. The format for this tournament will be the 6-6-6 format, designed to keep the day exciting while giving every player a chance to contribute. Everyone will need to register as a 2 man team, and the entry fee is $250 per person.
The tournament is played in teams of two over 18 holes, with the format changing every six holes:
Holes 1–6: Scramble
Each players tee off, the team selects the best shot, and everyone plays their next shot from that location. This continues until the ball is holed. It’s a great way to start the day with teamwork and aggressive play.
Holes 7–12: Best Ball
Each golfer plays their own ball for the entire hole, and the lowest individual score on the team counts as the team score. Consistency and strong individual play are key in this stretch.
Holes 13–18: Alternate Shot
Players take turns hitting the same ball until it is holed. Teammates rotate shots, making communication and strategy essential as teams close out the round.
The 6-6-6 format keeps the round fresh and engaging, combining collaboration, individual performance, and strategic teamwork. Whether you’re playing to win or just enjoying the day, it’s a fantastic way to support a great cause while experiencing a variety of golf challenges.
The Charity portion of this golf tournament will be donated to the ACLU for the support of civil liberties everywhere. ($25 per entry fee). Please let us know if you would like to sponsor a hole.
Registration includes greens fees, charity donation, lunch and dinner. Dress code - Course attire is fine, no jeans.
1pm Shotgun start. Feel free to get there early to warm up on the range or the putting green, lunch and drinks will be ready to rock around 12.
