The Extinction at Park Mammoth Golf Club (6/3/23)

The rumors are true. Many people are saying it was a 65. Started slow (shot 40 on my first nine) then went 32-33-32. Birdied the last two to leave no doubt.

Only the third time I’ve ever broken par on 18, and the previous low was -2 at Dismal River.

Continuing to do bad boy shit with the driver, and the irons finally clicked, which means I’ll probably shoot 85 next time out.

At the risk of sounding corny as hell my only complaint is that I had way too much fun. The only thing better than the course was the people. Thanks for making it all happen!

Yeah, watching @Tron have it click on the back 9 in the morning was awesome!

Had a great time getting out there with everyone yesterday! As always, seeing all the @HighCottonClub club boys was a pleasure as well as meeting all kinds of new people! Thank you to everyone who traveled in from across the country! We ended up with folks from Oregon all the way to Florida! Also, as always, thank you to @leftysauce for all the hard word and effort getting this event set up!

Fellas, as I’ve got the cruise set to 88 (Kentucky/Tennessee state patrol if you see this no you fucking didn’t) burning down I65 on my journey home the thought I keep coming back to is how much I can’t wait to do it again next year. From the morning Fun Group not even sniffing our quotas but setting all time PR’s in vibes to the afternoon watching my boy Kenny G smash a loaner driver 300 in the air and the cleanest and quietest 73 I’ve ever seen from Tom the silent assassin, cannot imagine a much better day on the golf course. Apologies for not tagging folks but we went by our government names, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t give @leftysauce all the kudos he deserves. Phenomenal work and thank you for putting together a kickass day!

“Barbara! Did you hear about these High Cotton boys and their Extinction upstaging our Memorial tournament?”

Incredible couple of days with some new and old friends. Thanks @leftysauce and everyone from HCC for the southern hospitality. Looking forward to the next one already.

This event came with a lot of hype this weekend and boy did it deliver. Started off strong witnessing a hole in one on the wrong hole by @Theonewhoshanks. @MagicLoogie bombing the ball all over the place. Seeing @Tron go low on the back 9. Couldn’t have asked for a better group of playing partners @Douger23 snd @BCirceo in the morning. @hworth14 winning back to back Roost Majors is a menace. What an awesome golf course!

Finally, there can’t be enough credit given to @leftysauce and your team. The amount of work put in to make sure this weekend was perfect didn’t go unnoticed. Y’all absolutely killed it this weekend and The Peachtree Collective will be back next year in full force.

About to take a fat nap, but wanted to hop on and thank everyone for all the kind words before I post a wrap up later on. This event’s success is only a reflection of the buy in from our community, and wouldn’t have been what it was without everyone coming in. From my guy @macros all the way in Oregon, to our Supercell, PTC, and OATW hitters driving out, to the Electric Phactory crew, we had a field that went coast to coast and that’s so mind boggling and humbling.

Like I said last night, from the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of the entire @HighCottonClub… thank you all so so much.

And I’d be remiss not to mention how wild it is that Unknown Golf stepped up the way they did. I apologize for my one click mistake for the morning leaderboard, but happy to get that resolved quickly and hope everyone enjoyed their experience.

It’s was an absolute pleasure! Also, your tee shot/alignment on 18 might be the most provocative “knowing your game/swing” shot I have seen in ages!

@hworth14 punches his ticket through the first flight at The Extinction following a win in the Gross Division at The Stankonia Classic (the guy is so hot right now)

@DILLYD joins him with the bid from the second flight

These two join @Jim_Sand (Donnybrook) and myself (2022 NIT) as @HighCottonClub representatives for the 2023 NIT at PGA Frisco

The OATW contingent had a blast. Felt like a KC reunion from the practice round to the last night with Adam controlling the dice til the wee hours. Crazy to see this thread start in the fall and have the anticipation live up to the hype and more. Shout to the boys who came to the bar on night one to greet me, Josh, D-Ball, Jackson. Had a great time seeing everyone from the Philly boys to Supercell, and of course all the HCC boys. Hope to see everyone again soon.

Are we going to have to duel over who @Jim_Sand calls home? He’s a hard working TPC member

Transfer portal in full effect in the year of prime? :eyes:

I believe he declared his transfer to HCC in the spring ahead of joining The High Cotton Classic, might have even been after The Overlook?

Don’t mean to speak out of turn, we’ll let the man speak for himself… *cue @Jim_Sand *

Either way, the Deep South will be well represented

If it comes down to a duel decision, can we just use Friday’s scores? My man @acrid blacked out
