Don’t think it needs to be ground breaking to be news, just a throw away laugh that one of the best golfers the country’s ever seen made himself look a bit dumb - I think there were a few in the same boat I know at least one other who finished in the top 10 was a couple hours out of Melbourne before getting the text congratulating him on making the (first) cut

Fair enough, but if you start policing all of the ‘news’ articles that aren’t news, you will be very busy indeed! At least this article was showing someone having fun and not someone suggesting that someone somewhere might be going to LIV or other things of that nature that are just hearsay etc

I can’t imagine any Aussie having a negative reaction to that story. I read it and thought it would only help his image. If he was 2 off the lead there might be a case but it was obvious this was not his week
