Available for Thursday afternoon and Sunday golf.
@chefcycle and I were going to try Rustic on Sunday morning. Booking window doesn’t open until 28 days out though.
I might…. might be down for that if I can open up my Sunday.
Could you pencil me in as a third there?
Done
Out of curiosity, I poked around in OpenRounds.com to see what I might be able to find as far as private clubs. It’s always D-Tier – my club is D-Tier after all – and boy does it look completely unappealing to me, an ignorant visitor.
Weird that Moorhead doesn’t have a reciprocal with LACC
Anyone know if Casey Affleck has connections to LACC?
Can you pencil me in as well?
But if @Forty is able to play, we might want to do 2 groups. I’m sure someone else is out there looking to play Sunday morning to at least get us to 2 threesomes
Rio Bravo is hosting our conference championship this year. Would love a full scouting report from you.
Land in Santa Barbara Thursday at noon. Might try to get 9 holes in at Sand Piper that afternoon.
@Jpop942 and I are down for some Thursday afternoon and Sunday shenanigans too
Of all those the only one I’d point you towards is Red Hill. It is a George Thomas design, although not all of it is still original. They host a decent amount of USGA qualifiers and an occasional SCGA event.
Keep in mind it’s 2 hours away from Ojai.
The rest of those are not worth your time really. Don’t drive out to Bakersfield for Rio Bravo. I’ve had some memorable moments out there, but the golf course isn’t worth anyone traveling to for a fun round of golf.
Since I’ve got the red-eye out Sunday/Monday figured some drive time with the rental would be tolerable.
Checkout of the Inn right away Sunday. Make the drive. Play some golf. Head to LAX. Hop on 12:40am flight.
I also actually kinda want to just go bop around a bunch of thrift stores, golf stores, and second hand stores like the stupid fucking hipster I am.
Metalwood Studios, here I come!
Posting pretty fast for someone who isn’t in the Nest anymore…
The gift thread is just too good not to stick around for
