Checked in for tomorrows morning flights and I’m ready for Ope3, the thickening

It’s sounding like Tuscumbia was bought in the last year and they have been putting a lot of work into it. Might be a nice lil twilight round!

In Wisconsin’s Lawsonia, where fairways wind, the Ope unfolds, a tradition well-defined. Friends gather each year, with clubs in hand, in a place where golfers’ dreams expand.

From sunrise to sunset, they play and jest, navigating challenges, putting skills to the test. Laughter rings out across the greens, as friendships deepen in the golfing scene.

Stories are woven with each stroke and swing, echoes of camaraderie in the air they bring. At the Ope, Lawsonia’s charm is aglow, a testament to friendships that continue to grow.

Would love to provide this awesome ride for a Hole-In-One prize, but I doubt my company would like that.

See you all in 2 days!!

It’s much better than it used to be, for sure.

At the office and all I’m thinking about is packing my clothes, have zero pre planned scripting but we’ll make do

$1185 raised via the raffle so far. Not too shabby. Who wants to buy 4 more tickets and get that over $1200?

Don’t forget silent auction is on the same page as the raffle too, just the next tab over

I like even numbers more.

My cardiologist would appreciate if I did something (beyond diet, please.)

Mine as well. Likely going to require me starting to run/bike a lot again, but if it means I can be around for a long time vs the good time, it’s a good thing.

What time is the raffle tonight?

Back to odd numbers. Hate to see this for you.

How dare you give $5 extra dollars to charity to ruin the even number, bad gui

9 pm CST

We could also use that time as preview of staches, jorts, and hoodrat shit planned for the weekend.
The official drink of the night is an Old Fashioned
The official beer of the night is a cold domestic (High Life preferred)

I’m in that really weird spot where I’m clearly far too heavy, but have zero blood pressure or cholesterol issues. So like clearly I need to weigh less, significantly less, but I can’t point to one thing and be like hey dummy this is why!

Don’t worry, I’ll be fixing the issue after the close.

By rough math, $3120 raised by all of you for the Ope Cup, plus whatever the $1200+ final will be from the raffle and silent auction. Add in the $1000 donation made by Mrs GolfBum and I for the purchase of @Battisstatus’s Supper Club flair and kids, this is impressive as hell.

$5355 and counting.

I plan to do a 50/50 raffle over the 2 days of the Ope, as was done last year that raised another $500 thanks to the generosity of @bignanski giving some of those winnings back. (This is not required to give back, but wanted to thank Nanski again)

For the 50/50, cash is always preferred. I will do $20 per again, no limit on number than can be bought. I will draw behind the green after a final offer to buy and then do a wheel of names.

What is the protocol for tight tee times? I missed that post.

On Saturday I play at 9:40 and 13:00. Scotch foursomes should move a little quicker than normal I guess
