Don’t waste those swings. Fix it on the course.
How wide is it
Well if you count the first hole, like a couple hundred yards
Stay over there though
I mean you can’t see your ball after 40 yds.
Why would you fly with Covid?
They were approved to open a place in Delafield, WI - looking forward to getting a good brewery in that area
Think I recall Mike was from or lived in Madison, coming home. I have a friend in common and good people to support.
Was travelling in Pennsylvania for business last year, landed in PA on Monday night and my wife tested positive for COVID. Next day I get sick and have COVID. Company said cancel your meetings we’ll update your flight and get you back home, flew home with a mask on and loaded up on meds to get home. Was absolutely miserable
Glad to hear it! It looks like he went to UW-Mad, so makes sense there.
I am certainly looking forward to supporting!
Hey now! Water Street Brewery exists! That’s about the nicest thing I have to say about that.
I was concerned where this was going for a second. Outside of their food, beer, and service, it’s a great place.
I was in key west and got super sick in 2022. Had no idea it was Covid til I got home because we didn’t think to test while down there. For sure the most miserable flight I had…
Until I got food poisoning the day of my flight home from Bandon to Boston which included a 6 hour drive to Portland
2 days until the Op3-N, an appreciation post to all of us. Hard to get memes, gifs, and photos of everyone, and the nonsense that has become of this thread, but a sampling of a few:
Filling the entire field in 10 minutes
Always
During the depths of Winter
Getting Closer
Don’t do this or @Battisstatus calls the cops
Breaking the 10K post mark before the event even started, S/O or not @bignanski for being the final post
And as always, golf with your friends from the internet is fun
Last year we had 16 states represented at the Ope-N, and we are slated to once again have 16 states represented across 14 different Roosts stretching across the country. Still blows my mind that people across the country are willing to travel this far to play golf, eat Culver’s, and be part of such a great community.
Lastly a few final shoutouts. Thank you @midwestgolfbum for taking on organizing this great event. It’s a tremendous amount of work making this happen, and we’re all very grateful for it. Also to @kcurry11 for helping make the tech work this year. @AlCzervik and @BadBrad for running the raffle this year, get your tickets as we draw tonight. @Battisstatus thank you for creating the Ope Cup which is not only a fun wrinkle, but another avenue to just keep raising more money for charity. To all the Roost and Ope Cup captains for their work assembling their teams as well. Everyone on the waitlist or who couldn’t make it this year, we miss you and hope to see you next year. Lastly, to everyone participating and who has donated to the charity this year, you rock!
I’m so jacked for this weekend, let’s make this the best Ope ever
Also down for this.
The Ope 25 is going to have all the skinny bois?
Curds and Whey (protein isolate)
Op3 24 on the right, Ope 25 on the left
Lets call it less fat*, dont know that I can ever qualify as a skinny boi, or if Id want to. Ha!
*assuming I get in the field again
Skinny being like 1 or 2 less “c’s” on the THICCC
