The Cornstalk 2025 @ Landmand GC (Homer, NE) - May 31-Jun 1, 2025

I was truly shook by the dismay in the face of the Chili’s general manager that we in fact, did not know how Chili’s happy hour works. I thought for sure he was coming over to tell us that he just fired the waitress who allowed us to order the lunch special 8 minutes after the posted time. For better or for worse, she is still employed at the Sioux City Chili’s.

Went completely off path about 10 feet to the left of the stairs. The rubber tires on the Walker Trolley made it a bit easier

Benches and water stations. Think a bench/cooler ever 3 holes out there isn’t an unreasonable ask or at least a shade/wind shack

My electric cart was a life saver. Still a pain in the ass with the alternate routes I had to take, but at least I didn’t have to carry or push.

I think we saw you going down 13 while on 14 tee and thought it was a runaway cart for a second

I carried a half set, and I don’t know if I would have made it otherwise.

It’s also inspired me to likely go half set more often. We’ll see how it plays when the greens aren’t massive, but I literally had one shot in 27 holes this weekend where I was really wishing I had a club that wasn’t in my bag.

I’m also legit thinking about carrying one wedge from here on out

Just played 9 to loosen up and smashed every putt 4 ft past the hole.

Doing my best to get over it.

This is the way. Easy to make a 60 degree with an open 56.

Everyone packing their golf bags Monday morning:

We lost many fine men on that hill.

Monday my soul left my body after the tee shot on 16.

It was 15 for me. Snuck out with a par on 14, feeling good coming down the hill then the most tired, wipey swing off the tee on 15 and that was pretty much the end of my day.

I just played 27 holes with only a 50 degree. We’ll see how it goes back home with actual rough but I’m gonna give it a go!

I was just glad to be out there!

Issac was an absolute prince to play with too. Attitude is everything.

I told him on 17 I was thinking about Happy Gilmore’s caddy all day. Once you saw it. :man_shrugging:

Yeah I was in the group with @coryschu3. I thought oh shit someone’s had enough and then disappointedly saw the cart slow down going down the hill

I Don’t know if there is another course in the world where after carrying my bag and getting ejected I would have a post round smile as big as the Plex boys have here. Thanks again to @bignanski and @kcurry11 for making this happen, y’all boys worked your asses off and it didn’t go unnoticed, already looking forward to next year!

Day 1 I had a fried egg in the face of the fairway bunker on 2. Boy, if that wasn’t some foreshadowing to how the rest of the day would go.

Also S/O to Justin (GM maybe?) for seeing the moonlite bag in my trunk and advising I carry. 100% believe that carrying was the move.

Like many of you, I have been reflecting on our experience. We know that we were all there for a special experience. I know that I have made a a deep connection with all of those that walked 36 holes at Landmand.

Unfortunately I have prior experience with these types of bonds from my military service. We have all experienced TRAUMA BONDING with Landmand as our abuser.
