I was truly shook by the dismay in the face of the Chili’s general manager that we in fact, did not know how Chili’s happy hour works. I thought for sure he was coming over to tell us that he just fired the waitress who allowed us to order the lunch special 8 minutes after the posted time. For better or for worse, she is still employed at the Sioux City Chili’s.
I carried a half set, and I don’t know if I would have made it otherwise.
It’s also inspired me to likely go half set more often. We’ll see how it plays when the greens aren’t massive, but I literally had one shot in 27 holes this weekend where I was really wishing I had a club that wasn’t in my bag.
I’m also legit thinking about carrying one wedge from here on out
It was 15 for me. Snuck out with a par on 14, feeling good coming down the hill then the most tired, wipey swing off the tee on 15 and that was pretty much the end of my day.
I Don’t know if there is another course in the world where after carrying my bag and getting ejected I would have a post round smile as big as the Plex boys have here. Thanks again to @bignanski and @kcurry11 for making this happen, y’all boys worked your asses off and it didn’t go unnoticed, already looking forward to next year!
Like many of you, I have been reflecting on our experience. We know that we were all there for a special experience. I know that I have made a a deep connection with all of those that walked 36 holes at Landmand.
Unfortunately I have prior experience with these types of bonds from my military service. We have all experienced TRAUMA BONDING with Landmand as our abuser.
